I actually don't know how I lost over the holidays... I did put a lot of cut-up veggies on the table, and had 2-3 cookies a day instead of 6! But I still ate lots and lost... Must be the breastfeeding or being more active.

I didn't lose as much as I hoped but I did establish some good a good cardio routine 5-6x a week so I'm happy with that.
I'm doing the JumpStart challenge and adding in weight training so that will get me toned up for the spring shorts weather!

16 pounds lost during this challenge! We had a 2-day family reunion this weekend, so I am pleasantly surprised that I still lost another half pound this past week. Thanks for this challenge, as it jump started my weightloss, and has me beginning 2012 on a great foot!

I am smack dab in the middle of two extremely stressful weeks: my daughter had surgery on Friday, and I'm staring down my own procedure at the end of this week. I am not making excuses, but honestly the gain this week is understandable. Going to work harder this week to get back down though.

As much as I want to, I think I am going to have to let go of this challenge for now. I'm doing cardio at 75-80% MHR for 40 minutes 5 days a week. 30 Minutes of HIIT core work 2 times a week. And 3 days a week of strength training alternating upper and lower body. I've been keeping an accurate log of my daily burn and weighing all of my food and tracking the calories. After I started doing the activity log, I realized I could be burning far more calories a day than I thought, and may have been eating at only 57% of my maintenance using the SP recommended number. And I wasn't loosing weight. I was at 70% for a couple weeks but still not loosing weight, although I started to loose inches. So I have been slowly upping the calories and the past week I am finally averaging 80% of my maintenance #. I didn't drop this week but it looks promising for next week based on the daily numbers I ignore but look at anyways. The two pound drop I saw several weeks ago was while I was so sick I did nothing but lay in bed or on the couch but I have not gained that back (interestingly enough, I was eating all my calories and keeping them down).

So, as much as I am disappointed, I just think I need time to get this figured out.

Don't think I'm not working my butt off. As soon as I see that scale dip, you bet I'll be checking in again! :)

Yay! Now, this is partly due to buying a new digital scale to replace the dial scale I had to squat down on to read, and there's maybe about 1.5 lbs difference between them (in my favor). Even so, I lost at least 2.5 lbs this week! This reminds me how well having a "fat" day helps me in weight loss. I know there is a theory out there about metabolism kicking in, and it really seems to work well for me :)

I am so surprised that the downward trend continued despite all the wonderful food I had over Thanksgiving weekend. I guess my portion control is becoming second nature!

Momppcl-I'm right there with ya. I'm exercising and eating better but the weight is just not moving. I think strength training is key for me but I have a hard time getting it in.

Start: 155lbs
11/21: 151lbs :D

Weight Goals:

Goal 1: 150lb
Goal 2: 145lb
Goal 3: 135lb
Goal 4: 125lb

Exercise Goals:

Goal 1: Finish 5K race
Goal 2: Finish 10K race
Goal 3: Finish Half-Marathon

emoticon I am bummed but I know it was my fault. I didn't eat as healthy and i did go over my calorie intake. I will be good this week even with Thanksgiving I plan to cook some healthy dishes and staying on track hopefully emoticon

New mother of a beautiful son as of 9/12/11 and ready to lose the baby weight plus some!

Goal 1 - 170 lbs
Goal 2 - 165 lbs - haircut
Goal 3 - 155 lbs - new clothes
Goal 4 - 145 lbs - more new clothes!
Goal 5 - 135 lbs - new clothes, haircut, and pedicure
Goal 6? - 130 lbs - will have to think of a good reward

Going to have to start being creative in my cardio. My treadmill broke this week, and we haven't been able to fix it on our own. Think I'll take my kids for a walk in the double stroller, and try to do some dancing around the house :)
