Yeah 2nd week is MUCH harder! I was panting through my workout yesterday lol I want to blame my brother...He came with me, and I think I was trying to match his pace, so I ran too fast. But either way, I'll be doing it again either tonight or tomorrow!
I've now done the first week intervals every day since Thursday! I'm so proud of myself. Whenever I start to feel like my legs are getting sore, I do an indoor treadmill workout instead of running outside. I've decided that when I complete this challenge successfully, I'm rewarding myself with a pedicure :)
Yup! Did my first run at lunchtime today. I did the run 60 seconds, walk 90 for 25 minutes (on the treadmill). It felt like a good run, not nearly as easy as it sounded to me on paper! I'd rather be doing this outside, but on workdays, I need to stay outta the heat so I don't get too sweaty lol.
I did that program when I first started running years ago! It's great! I am just getting back to running after having the baby but I'm already running 3 miles so I can't join you but enjoy! I fell in love with running after the C25k program!
I like this program...I think I'd tweak the program a bit for me personally. I have been running for about a month now, and feel that I'd be ready for a little more than this program has you do. But, I can make sure that I do at least what the program outlines each week, and anything more will be a bonus :)
Would anyone be interested in starting a running program with me? I am trying to enlist my hubby, but he's being stubborn. The program is http:\\www.coolrunning.com couch to 5k I need motivation from someone. My cousin did this and said it helped her buns and tummy get toned. I plan on starting this week, but whoever wants to do it with me can start any time :)
