The problem w/ setting timelines is it sets one up for discouragement and failure. I prefer changing my eating habits and exercising regularly. Then I judge my progress by how I feel. Am I firming up? Am I feeling better? Am I stronger?
I rarely get On a scale. Go to a butcher shop. ask him to show you a pound of fat, then ask him to show you a pound of lean meat. If you replace a pound of fat with a pound of muscle it will not reflect on the scale. It will take a little longer. However, I promise you will look and feel a lot better.

Water is very important for us. We may, and I do, require more than the 8 glasses a day. The link goes to a water calculator I use to see what I need for my current weight. Mt requirement has dropped 9 ounces due to weight loss. Yipee!
