Week 4 Check In: (I know, I'm late again...been busy, busy, busy:-)

This last week is going really well...I've already made my cardio minutes with 2 days to spare, I went HARD on the treadmill last night 45 min 2.14 miles 514 cals burned! It was great!!!

Okay, I'm ready for a new challenge, but I haven't given up on this one (despite the fact that it's almost over)!

Still doing well tracking food (actually need to eat more, been under calories).

2/8 Tues Did strength training and then shoveled snow for over an hour!

2/9 Wed Plan for 30 mins of cardio (and to shovel the driveway again)

Week 2 I'm a Complete Ten Challenge:

Fitness: was good considering it rained all week long and I started a new job and worked an average of 11 hours each day, including MLK, Jr Day. Will have to learn how to get more fitness into such a busy work schedule. Ended up doing more mat pilates and yoga from home this past week.

Week one complete-

COMPLETE NUTRITION - I promise to eat at least 3-5 freggies a day- only got in 2 most days

COMPLETE FITNESS- I will do 30 Cardio Workouts at least 5 times a week- did pretty good I did 4 days

COMPLETE ACCOUNTABILITY-I will post my nutrition goals daily and my fitness goals weekly on the "Put It On Paper" thread. I will also track my food and exercise on the spark people tracker. Been having computer issues but I did post results most days

Week 1 - I am a complete 10.
I tried a new WW recipe. (Crockpot Potato Soup)

I completed over 75 minutes of exercise.

For the first time EVER, I journaled my food and exercise for an ENTIRE week. What an accomplishment for me. emoticon

My food wasn't perfect, but nevertheless I logged it and tried to make up with exercise -let's see what today's weigh in brings.

Week 1 Summary :
I think I did an AWESOME job during Week 1.

Nutrition: I replaced my work snacking with fresh fruits. I had at least 80 oz of H2O everyday!...CHECK!

Fitness: I had 3 AM workouts as committed and tracked a total of 430 cardio minutes...WooooHooo!...CHECK!

Accountability: I tracked daily results on the Put it on Paper thread ( with the exception of the two days I was not a part of the "world wide web" while on business....CHECK!

Let's Get IT CC's in Week 2!!! emoticon

Go Lynn! Go CCs! You are doing great. Keep building on your successes!!!

Nutrition: I did much better this week with my snacking and temptations.
I can still improve in this area especially when it comes to eating out with friends.

Fitness: With my Half Marathon PR on Sunday, I surpassed my calorie burn for the week by almost 900 calories! Even while taking it easier as a recovery week from the race.
Need to work on increasing my ST routine. I miss Curves! It was so easy to get my ST in there. Hopefully I get the better of the two job offers this week and will be able to afford two gyms again.

Accountability: Posted Daily on the Put it On Paper Thread and tracked my workouts.
If I want to drop 5 pounds, I'll need to start tracking my nutrition again. But to be honest, I'm 90% okay with my current weight. I still look pretty darn HOT!

This challenge has really helped me get more water, even on the days that I fall short, I've had more than before the challenge.

COMPLETE Nutrition - Pay more attention to my water intake, 6-8 cups per day.
**I'll give myself a B- for this week

COMPLETE Fitness - Do some form of exercise for 10 minutes EVERY morning before posting on any threads.

I will be posting on this thread, but some days I might have to post the following day.

COMPLETE NUTRITION - I will contain to use portion control and track my food in the SP nutrition tracker. I will try to put a strong emphasis on staying within my nutritional ranges (esp sodium).
On the weekends, I will track in my notebook, if I don't have access to a computer.

COMPLETE FITNESS- I will start off with 30 mins of cardio on M W F, get back into a ST routine twice a week, and find new ways to keep fit and active on the weekends. Each week I will plan on adding 5 minutes of cardio.

COMPLETE ACCOUNTABILITY: I will post on the

COMPLETE NUTRITION - I will gain control of my snacking and meal choices. Repeat to myself daily, "Just because I run doesn't mean I can eat anything in front of me. I need to eat better to be better."

COMPLETE FITNESS- I will continue to use the Row Machine once a week (best ab workout I've found yet!), get back into a ST routine twice a week, and find new ways to keep fit.

I'm so thankful that you CC's have joined and/or cheering the challenge on. I look forward to developing and maintaining some healthy habits with you.

I was going back through my old journals and SP postings and decided to add one more thing to my goals. No eating after 10pm. I know that by sticking to this along w/ my other goals for the next few weeks the ticker and I should be able to maintain our friendship...LOL!

Okay here are my goals for the next few weeks of the challenge...keep in mind yours may be different:

COMPLETE Nutrition - Use the Nutrition Tracker every Day

COMPLETE Fitness - Post on the "Put It on Paper Thread..." everyday, Cardio 5x a week, ST 2x a week

COMPLETE Accountability - Again use the "Put It on Paper Thread...", post weekly on this thread and concentrate on being more active with the CC team AND NO EATING AFTER 10PM--HOLD ME ACCOUNTABLE CC'S.

Now I'm off to the Put It On Paper Thread **HUGS**

I wasn't going to do this challenge, but my motivational factor is on the rise and I need to spur it on with accountability! I will probably refine my goals this afternoon, but for now here they are:
1) Plan and pack my low-carb lunches the night before (5 days/week)
2) 30 minutes of cardio (5 days/week)
3) Use tne Nutrition Tracker (7 days/week)
I wanna be a "10"!! emoticon

I was about to get settled in to start Sparking - I backed away from the computer and picked up my weights.

Now I have my first glass of water on my desk while I do my Spark postings!

emoticon Complete Nutrition - I committs to researching/cooking one low carb meal per week.

Complete Fitness I will commit to exercising 15 minutes 5 days per week (and increasing this number by 5 minutes every 2 weeks for the duration of the challenge)

Complete Accountability I will journal both my nutrition and fitness and post updates this thread weekly.

COMPLETE NUTRITION - I promise to eat at least 3-5 freggies a day

COMPLETE FITNESS- I will do 30 Cardio Workouts at least 5 times a week

COMPLETE ACCOUNTABILITY-I will post my nutrition goals daily and my fitness goals weekly on the "Put It On Paper" thread. I will also track my food and exercise on the spark people tracker.

Thanks for posting this. I haven't been here in a long time and it time to get back on track.

Nutrition - Drink 80oz of water a day

Fitness - 30min of cardio each day

Accountablility - I will post in my Quick Track for fitness and water each day

COMPLETE Nutrition - Pay more attention to my water intake, 6-8 cups per day.

COMPLETE Fitness - Do some form of exercise for 10 minutes EVERY morning before posting on any threads.

COMPLETE Accountability - Update my Quick Track daily for fitness and water and Put It On Paper thread at least weekly.

As time goes on I get off track and conveniently "forget" what my goals are. This time, I'm setting a daily reminder on my Yahoo calendar so that every morning I get a fresh reminder in my email to start my day.

Ok my fellow CC's here are my goals for the next few weeks:

COMPLETE NUTRITION-I will "snack" only on fruits and raw veggies while at work and consume at least 80 oz of H2O daily.

COMPLETE FITNESS- I will do 30-45 min AM Cardio Workouts at least 3X/ wk.

COMPLETE ACCOUNTABILITY-I will post my nutrition goals daily and my fitness goals weekly on the "Put It On Paper" thread.

LET'S GET IT IN-IN 2010!!!! emoticon

You're welcome Noei. I know that we have too much going on to add a complicated challenge to our already hectic lives. Personally, I have left teams before because the challenge and tracking requirements and even the team leaders were just too much...LOL!

Now, that I've clarified things, I hope more CC's will join us!

Thanks Deondra for making it simpler :) I think I'll be a COMPLETE TEN only if I try :) Here it goes:

COMPLETE NUTRITION: No "nightly ice cream" until 2/14. Hopefully, this will break my bad habit for good!

COMPLETE FITNESS: Do at least 30 min. workout everyday.

COMPLETE ACCOUNTABILITY: Daily blogging and posting once a week on this thread.

There - I think this is very doable, there's only 2 things for me to remember, tape up my lips after dinner and visit & post on this thread weekly. The rest is a done deal!

Thanks to Deb and Kaye for being our cheerleaders!!!

One point of clarification that I wanted to share. I've received a few questions offline regarding the goals for this challenge. In my original post the things that I listed next to COMPLETE Nutrition, Fitness and Accountability are just suggestions/examples (most of which were listed on the WHAT SAY YOU thread, when I was looking for feedback). This challenge is for you and you can make your goals whatever you want, I just ask that you pick something from each category.

For example just to help with consistency your goals may be:

COMPLETE Nutrition: Drink 2 C. of Green Tea a day.

COMPLETE Fitness: Dance in front of the mirror 5 mins. a day three times a week

COMPLETE Accountability: Post once a week on this thread.

Remember, it's about being complete, loving ourselves and building consistency.

Okay, I'm in! I will complete the nutrition tracker (including water) every day, report on the cardio and strength training I do on the Fitness Tracker, and keep up with all the reporting, reading articles and e-mails, and weighing in. I will dutifully report on my CC post as I complete each day's tracking.

1/10/10 Tracked my nutrition, tracked my fitness, read all the spark mail & did my challenge reporting.

1/11/10 Tracked 90 Minutes of Cardio, my nutrition, read all the spark mail & did my challenge reporting.

Okay CC’s as you know I’m a person that’s really into symbolism. First of all we’re starting this challenge on the 10th and the number ten symbolizes completion. The challenge will conclude on Valentine’s day, which is the day of love.

One of the recurring themes from all of our posts is that we want to be consistent with this challenge and we want to COMPLETE it. Well, our ultimate goal is to become healthier because we love ourselves and we want to be around to take care of our loved ones (hence concluding on Valentine’s Day).

I know that we’re all super busy, so listed below are the basic things that we will do consistently for the next few weeks and how we will track them.

It's up to each CC to decide what they specifically want to do in the following three categories for the next few weeks. The main thing to keep in mind is that we’re focusing on being COMPLETE in nutrition, fitness and accountability!!!

Complete Nutrition (for example: using the SPARK Nutrition Tracker, getting our required daily fiber intake, eating more fruits and vegetables DAILY, getting our daily water intake, etc.)

Complete Fitness (for example: 30 mins of a.m. cardio 3x a week, increasing exercise frequency and duration, resume strength training, etc.)

Complete Accountability (for example: tracking what we’ve accomplished for the day and our plans for the next day on the “Put It On Paper” Thread, regularly blogging, using the trackers on SPARK...the Nutrition Tracker, the Fitness Tracker or even that cool Stay On Track Calendar: www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/stay-on-
