Keep that determination high, D, you can do it!
I didn't quite make my goal either, but I did see my ticker drop by 3 lbs. Probably because George was here and I was too excited/nervous/busy to eat.

Anyway, he's gone now and I'm going to do my best to keep it off. I'll probably see him again in May, so that gives me about 5 months to make all kinds of progress. Gotta be looking svelte by the time I see him again, right?

My training resumes Tuesday; right now I am working on fitness and eating goals for 2009. We can do this thing!!!

it has hands, it lays hold of me.

So, I almost had my gift in my hand but didn't quite make it to the "check out line".

I got down to 41 inches, then I got sick, TOM came a whole week early and has yet to leave, grieved Lisa, broke up w/ my "BOO" and just didn't workout.

I've gained a few pounds and my waist is back to 42.5 inches; HOWEVER, I'm not stressing. I'm feeling better all the way around, I have a plan that works and I'm back on it.

I am determined to be at my goal weight by my birthday in May...come GEHENNA or High Water!!!

Hey Paralee,
Good job on not gaining any weight. I hope that you will have a good visit with your new friend! Happy New Year to you!

How's everyone doing on their Christmas gift? I stalled out a bit last week -- my trainer has been sick and I used that as an excuse not to go to the gym. emoticon The good news is I haven't gained any weight this month, although I had hoped to lose a bit more before George arrives. The other good news is I'm off work this week and will be able to go to the gym 3X before Wednesday night when he gets here. emoticon

I have set a mini-challenge for myself to log-in 1000 minutes during the month of December. For this past week I logged 180 minutes, which puts me just slightly behind, but I believe I can do it. As I said below, starting this coming week I will have an extra day a week to go to the gym. Hopefully this will help me get my "Christmas gift".

My gift to myself is to lower my BMI...Currently my BMI is 30...which is still considered OBESE..I would like loose 8 to 10 lbs which would take my BMI to the Overweight range!!! I know the new focus is on hip (44) to waist(33) ratio which would put me at a healthy weight or at least lower my risk of heart related diseases, but I know this is not my ideal weight!!!! I will exercise at least 5 days per week, drink my water and strive for my servings of fruits and veggies.....

My gift to myself will be to lose 1.5" from my waist (currently 43.5) and to see my ticker drop from 235 to 230. I will do this by being much more careful and diligent with the food tracker -- everything I eat will be measured, and every mouthful will be logged. Also, after Sunday my choir practices will be done for a while, so I will increase my cardio to 6 days per week.

My gift to myself would be to allow myself to feel bad right now. I'll get over it and life will get back to normal one day.

My 2nd gift (because I'm generous like that! LOL) is to lose some inches off my behind and waist! I don't care how many...just be gone inches! Be gone!

I'm really trying to reach 220 or less by the end of the month. So my gift to myself is to track my food 6 out of 7 days every week and stay in my target range.

Deondra - Thanks once again, this is a sensible challenge. My gift to me for this month is to have a strong core .... this is something that I need to do to strenthen my back ... I'm not crazy about abs exercises but will do it every other day until it becomes a habit. I better start tonight!

My gift to me will be a smaller waist line. As of this morning, my waist is 42.5 inches. I would be thrilled if my waist was at least 40 inches by the end of this month.

To accomplish this goal along with my regular *stuff*, I will do a Core Rhythms workout everyday...whether it's the 5 minute, 20 minute or one of the full 45 minute DVDs.

Hi Team,
The month of December has all types of wonderful Holidays. Regardless of your beliefs most celebrations have some type of gift-giving associated with them. Often times, we get so "wrapped-up" in all of the Holiday hustle and bustle, we often forget about ourselves and allow our fitness and nutrition plans to drop off. WELL NOT THIS YEAR!!!

So with that being said, with this challenge I want you to list the one health-related gift that you would like to give yourself during the month of December AND what you will plan to do EACH day or EACH week to ensure that you will receive your gift at the end of the month.

It may be that you want to:

-lose a few pounds so everyday you will use the SP trackers

-lose a few inches so you will either start lifting weights or modify your strength training routine

-improve your eating habits so you will try one new SP recipe a week

-or it could be anything...it's your gift...so pick what you want!!!

You get the picture???? Good emoticon

So CC's what will be your gift to you during this Holiday Season?

emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
