I got so frustrated with my scale while doing CE that I loked it awy in the closet. I now only weigh in on the 1st of the month when I measure so I have all my #'s at once, it's easier to appreciate the total package. I run 3 day a week and do CE three days a week. I will say that I wouldn't trade my toned arms, back and shoulders for all the wight loss in the world!

I agree with Beth. You may not be eating enough. When I did my first round of CLX, I would say I averaged 1,500 - 1,700 calories and went from 126 to 113.5 in 120 days. I lost 5 pounds in month 1, 3 lbs. in month 2, 1 lb. in month 3, and 4.5 lbs. in month 4 (Lean for Life). I also ran 3 days a week because I felt there wasn't enough cardio in the program.

Losing weight seems to be one big experiment with diet and excercise! I just started CLX again on Monday and I'm hoping to have the same results I had two years ago. The weight has crept back on because I've been inconsistant with diet and exercise. I know Chalene will kick my butt back into shape!

I seem to recall gaining during my first month of CE for at least the first 2 weeks. I did end up with a net loss of 2 lb (if I recall correctly) that first month, but I lost so many inches that I felt like I lost 10 lb!

My running has been so-so since winter..it was a cold winter....ever so slowly getting back into it...this week my plan is 20 miles/week, along with CLX...def the 3 circuit days...and hope to get all 5 days in for CLX....planning to run before work if need be.....

I am thinking you are not eating enough...try for 2 weeks to bump up some....how many cals are you burning per week???

So, do you run and do Chalene Extreme?

When I was doing P90X I dropped down to running once a week. Now I'm getting back to running 2-3 times a week and doing Chalene, and I'm hoping that will help drop the weight.

Your goal should be out of reach but not out of sight.

I know that losing inches is a big thing, and I don't want to sound like I'm not happy with the results. But I'm a numbers person and watching the scale go up is soooo discouraging.

I'm watching everything that I eat. Lowered the fat intake, sticking to 1200-1500 calories.

My first thought would be are you staying within your calorie range to lose weight? If so, just stick with it...don't give up. The weight should start to come off as soon as your body adjusts to the program.

I do know that muscles weighs more......5 inches is huge!!! Are you clothes fitting differently??

I've just completed P90X, I followed the program exactly the 1st month, workedout every other day the 2nd month, then maybe twice a week the 3rd month. I found it impossible to stick to such a ridgid program. I exercise 30-45 minutes a day, an hour a doy is too much for me. I still had results, (I lost about 5 inches total). However, I gained 3 lbs.

Now I've started Chalean Extreme. I've just completed the first week. But my concern is that I'm still gaining weight. I've gained 2 more lbs. I'm not new to exercise,(I'm a runner) but I am new to weight training. Is it normal to gain weight? And will it stop? My goal is weight loss and toning, is this the wrong program for me?
