Thanks Lori: I was thinking I was the only one that has this issue. It just seems I am so hungry the day after, not necessarily that night but the next day. Although my nutrition tracker says I'm getting enough protein, I guess I will bump it up even more. You all are right, that is probably it. Thanks!

I couldn't help but laugh when I saw this topic, I am the same way when I do CLX! I just try to make sure I am getting enough protein during the day & it helps.

Well in addition to my protein shake after my workout, I do eat a really good dinner. I will add something else though as you suggested at night and maybe that will help with hunger the next day. I usually try to eat protein with my oatmeal the next morning or eggs or something more complex than just fiber one cereal too. LOL. And I love Fage Greek Yogurt but I get the 0% so maybe I should be incorporating more healthy fats as you recommend! Thank you so much. I will start out adding some of the Fage Greek Yogurt to my shake and maybe some PB2.

Definitely! Especially if you are strength training at night and going to bed soon after. When I strength train at night I have a cup of Chocolate milk (nonfat or 1% - 1% is better, helps your body absorb more of the nutrients in the milk) and then a bowl of Greek yogurt with some warmed frozen, no sugar added berries and some chopped walnuts. The next day I make the protein shake for breakfast and usually have enough for a snack later on too!

That huner is your body crying out for micro & macro nutrients to help rebuild the muscles you are tearing down when you strength train. I would take a guess that if you try the whey protein shakes with a little more oomph than just ice and water - maybe yogurt, banana and peanut butter at night - you might be less hungry the next day. Either way adding the extra protein will help your body get the nutrients it wants AND help you make faster gains in your overall muscle strength and endurance.

That sounds great - I will try that. Usually I have a Whey Protein shake with just ice and water immediately after my strength training (last night) but it is the next day (like today)that I just can't seem to fill up. Should I try that on the day after also? Thanks!

Have you tried protein shakes or more extra protein. I notice when I strength train really hard that I want protein and fat before I feel satisfied - I usually make up a protein shake with whey protein powder or Greek yogurt, a little milk, a banana and some flax seeds and peanut butter for a good healthy fat. That keeps me satisfied, has all natural healthy ingredients and helps to build my muscles!

I'm finishing the PUSH phase. Due to time constraints, I am doing cardio in the mornings and then ST three evenings a week (following the workout schedule). It seems the day after I've done my ST, I cannot eat enough. I've incorporated extra veggies on those days and a little more protein while still trying to stay within my 1200-1550 calories. Any suggestions?
