Good morning Ember,
Sorry for the long delay in responding, my computer blew up,literally. I smelled some "electronics" melting, the odor was distinguishable from other odors, lol, my computer was taken to a repair shop just to see if it was viable to fix it. It would have cost more to fix than the unit was originally paid.
It took me 3 months to save for a new one. It's another Compaq Presario PC with 3GB memory(the other one had just 256MB of hard drive, it now is 250GB of space but,it has vista and it's taken a bit,(excuse the pun),getting used to.
John/Now Joco112, Joco50 went awol on me,it was windows XP though.

Thanks for the tip Joco. How are you doing?
I recently moved (second time since June AHRRRHDFJDHFDF) yeah LOL anyhow, I am back, in one piece...

I hate to say this, but I have a yahoo group and many of the ladies there (and gents) have taken lyrica with poor or bad results for Fibro and diabetes as well. The results from what I have learned is yes, lyrica works, but has some bad contradictions such as swelling ankles.
SO thanks for the info on Sodium Oxybate, it's certainly worth a try.

HUGS Ember

Sodium Oxybate drug seems to help those with Fibromyalgia.
I found at www.WebMD.com the warnings, uses, side effects, precautions, interactions, and overdose.
A must read .

That is some pretty good news--I will talk to my doc about either adding it or swapping out for one of my other meds--

so you know what pathway it works? Is it like Lyrica or amrix? or more like a traditional pain reliever like oxy?

Thanks for the info, I'm going to ask my doctor about it when I go in this week! I'm always looking for ways to cut out the opiates I've been on more than 3 years now. emoticon emoticon

I saw this....once I get hooked up with a new sleep doc in my area, I'm going to talk to him/her about this drug to see if it will help with my fun mix of hypersomnia and chronic pain.
