I just made up a batch to take to my daughter, the only reason I'm sorry she didn't tell me until she had completed her first trimester is that she was really really sick not just in the morning. And this could have really helped her.
Usually I make this in the summer when the berries are fresh as part of preserving. But since it's winter, I made it using frozen organic blackberries
1 generous pint organic blackberries 1/4 c evaporated organic cane juice 1/4 c organic apple cider vinegar
heat the berries until they give up their juice add the ecj, stir and mash until crystals are dissolved
Don't add vinegar yet it will react with the steel ... yeah yeah it's stainless but why take chances?
Press through stainless steel screen, don't use jelly bag you want the pulp.
Add the vinegar. Bottle
It makes about 12 oz
Add a tablespoon or two to a cup of warm water and sip or take straight from a spoon.
Guaranteed against nausea.
After your children are old enough use honey instead of ecj.
When I was young we used to carry blackberry brandy in a cough syrup bottle in the car as a car sick cure.
It's something about the blackberries.
If only I may grow: firmer, simpler, quieter, warmer. ~ Dag Hammarskjold
