I copied and pasted! lol.. during Bugs nap today! He slept for two hours the first one.. then, during his second.. I got a good work out! Dh was home tonight, so no crockpot cooking.. so, I had naps free! PLUS, he has been feeling better.. FINALLY.. so I was able to get a lot done while he played.. he was beside me in his walker helping me do the laundry.. it was too cute!
I just got to ask you, WHEN do you find the time for all you do??? I'm constantly amazed at how much you do... I'm struggling trying to keep up with you! LOL

Recipes to make ur own :Make-Up, Soap, Lotion, Scrubs Not only can you save a bundle (many of the ingredients may already be in your kitchen), but you'll also know that they are pure, natural and aren't filled with stuff that will harm your skin or the environment! It may not have been something you've tried before, but trust me, after a while you may find recipes you prefer over the "name brands", and really it takes very little effort to make them :) If you have kids, this could be a great way to spend some quality time together. www.makeyourcosmetics.com/
Gail included: "Also, my mother taught me, her mother taught her to use salt and vinegar to clean and polish brass and copper. It takes longer and sometimes a few times but it's worth it and it doesn't scratch the metal"
Amy included: "Ok, you asked for it Lol :D Here is the my cheat sheet...I laminated it and have it hanging up downstairs for quick reference...
Powdered Laundry Detergent- Top load machine 1 Ivory soap bar 1 Cup Washing Soda ½ Cup Borax ¼ Cup Oxyclean -Grate soap or break into pieces and process in a food processor until powdered. Mix all ingredients. For light load, use 1 Tablespoon. For heavy or heavily soiled load, use 2 Tablespoons. Yields: 3 Cups detergent. (Approx. 40 loads)
All Purpose Spray – 1/2 water, 1/2 white vinegar, 20 drops of essential oil (I like orange)
Disinfectant Spray Water 2 Tbsp of liquid soap 30 drops of Tea Tree Oil
Dishwasher 1C borax 1C baking soda 1/4C salt (I used sea salt) 1/4C citric acid (I used 2 packets of unsweetened Lemonade Kool-Aid... has to be lemonade and un-sweeted or you'll dye your dishwasher.) 30 drops citrus essential oil (but I didn't add this to my mixture) *put it all in a container and use 1T in each cup per load
Fresh Dishwashing Liquid 1/2 teaspoon your choice of mixed EO (Eucalyptus, Peppermint, citrus and/or Tea Tree) Add to a 22 oz squeeze container 3/4 filled with unscented castile/liquid soap. Shake well and fill the rest of the way with distilled water
Bath and Shower Scrub 1 Cup Baking Soda 1/4 tsp your choice of mixed EO (Eucalyptus, Peppermint, citrus and/or Tea Tree) Mix all ingredients well and store in a glass covered jar. Apply w/ wet sponge or cloth. Scrub well. For a really great Soft Scrub add some Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Soap to a portion of the mixture above, use for cleaning tough jobs including sinks and toilets.
Carpet Deodorizer 16 oz Baking soda 1/2 tsp your choice of mixed EO (Eucalyptus, Peppermint, citrus and/or Tea Tree) Mix well and store in covered glass jar. Sprinkle the deodorizer onto your carpet by hand or with a sugar shaker. Wait 10-20 minutes and then vacuum normally.
Fabric Softener 1 cup Baking soda 1 cup white vinegar 2 cups distilled water 1/4 tsp.your choice of mixed EO (Eucalyptus, Peppermint, citrus and/or Tea Tree) Mix ingredients together. Add 1 cup of this mixture to your rinse cycle to soften, deodorize and sanitize your laundry. Store in a glass covered jar.
STAIN REMOVER #2 ¼ cup borax or washing soda 2 cups cold water
Sponge on and let dry, or soak the fabric in borax mixture before washing in soap and cold water.
STAIN REMOVER #3 ¼ cup hydrogen peroxide ¼ cup water
Mix together and dab onto stain. Leave two hours and repeat if necessary. Good on white clothes.
WINDOW CLEANER # 1 ¼ - ½ teaspoon liquid or grated soap 3 tablespoons vinegar 2 cups water spray bottle Put all the ingredients into a spray bottle, shake it up a bit, and use as you would a commercial brand. The soap in this recipe is important. It cuts the wax residue from the commercial brands you might have used in the past.
FLOOR CLEANER – tiles, vinyl or laminate ½ cup white vinegar plus 2 liters hot water in a bucket and a clean mop will clean up all but the worst floor. If you have a really dirty floor to deal with, add a squirt of homemade laundry liquid to this mix."
I was just looking here to see what type of things our local farmer/friend still has for sale and thought I would just share this site! We just LOVE it! not much in our area of course, but most def worth looking, even for those who don't buy organic because of the prices! www.localharvest.org/
