I bought myself some new jogging shorts that will actually stay up when I run. Of course you just have to buy new shirts if you get new shorts : ) I have also started doing lateral raises with my new kettle plates. The weight shifting position while you lift it is supposed to make you use more muscle.

Sounds great, but if the doc said you wouldn't be fully healed until fall, are you sure it's OK to start WOW now?

Three and a half months later from ankle tendon surgery, last week doctor said fully healed by fall 2012. Right afterwards I went out and joined "Work out World". Excited about first visit with WOW personal trainer.

I tried fresh almonds yesterday. That's right--fresh almonds like this: www.tasteofbeirut.com/wp-content/upl

I'd never seen them before (and had to ask the cashier what they were). I found them at a little hole-in-the-wall international grocery store. They're quite good!

I decided to try a new exercise I haven't done before to my routine yesterday. Plank rows. You work the core and arms at the same time. I love it!

It is June already. Time for a new challenge. We all get stuck in a rut now and then along the way so our challenge is....

Try something new!!!

Add a new exercise to your routine, try that strange looking vegetable you have always wondered about, try a new oil, buy that piece of exercise equipment you have been looking at, or just splurge on those new cloths you have been wanting. Report back and let us know what you tried and how you liked it. I think this is going to be a great month!
