I have been eating way too much of all the wrong things! (klondike bars)
I pledge to do better in Oct. My exercise has been GREAT but I can't eat whatever I want, and all I want.

#1 is to buy what I can eat and to eat what I buy. -- I did okay with this. Not perfect, but better than I was.

#2 is to eat "clean" as much as possible. -- I slipped on this one. A lot.

#3 is to go to the Y at least 3 times a week. -- I made it twice a week every week except this one. I haven't gone at all this week - too busy.

#4 is to walk on the bike trail at least 3 days a week, weather permitting. (And use the treadmill at the Y, if I can't walk outside.) -- I don't think I've used the bike trail at all this month, and I know I haven't used the treadmill. I've counted steps that I've walked throughout the day, though. And I've used the elliptical at the Y a few times.

#5 is to practice yoga everyday. -- Very, very little.

I must aim to do better in October.

Hm... well, I'll admit I haven't done great. I've stuck to it better in September than I did in August, so that's a good sign of progress, but I need to do better if I want to continue to lose weight. So... October, new goals, new focus!

September has been a great month for me! I have exercised every day, eaten only a tiny amount of meat, ate almost zero refined sugar, and have added new items to my menu. The month is rapidly coming to an end, so it is time for all of us to think about what goals we want to work on for October. Let's all finish the month out strong!

I am doing well with exercising every day. Yesterday I walked morning and evening, did kick boxing in the afternoon and lifted weights before dinner. I still need to work on changing up my diet. We are going to the farmers market tonight so I am going to take some recipes with me and see what looks good.

#1 is to buy what I can eat and to eat what I buy. -- Still doing pretty well with this, but did have to throw away some salad that had gotten old.

#2 is to eat "clean" as much as possible. -- This past week was not good. Today I am back on track!

#3 is to go to the Y at least 3 times a week. -- Due to Labor Day and working an extra shift last week, I went only once last week. But I went to day!

#4 is to walk on the bike trail at least 3 days a week, weather permitting. (And use the treadmill at the Y, if I can't walk outside.) -- It rained most of last week. I didn't walk outside, and I didn't walk on the treadmill at the Y. Wait...I did walk at the fair over the weekend! I'm trying to get up the energy to walk this evening.

#5 is to practice yoga everyday. -- only a few days last week. Must do better this week.

So far, so good for this month. Exercising everyday and tracking my food. I still need to try more new vegetarian recipes, I have a tendency to just keep making my favorites over and over.

Goals are going okay. Plain and simple, I'm eating too much. I've been going over by a small amount. Ugh.

Exercise is going pretty well though. I went to yoga last night - first time in 5 months! It was great to feel those long dormant muscles getting used again.

Our grocery store has a Bob's Red Mill section in the health-food/organic aisle. That's where I've seen TVP (the Bob's Red Mill brand). To tell you the truth, my hubby bought it and put it in something, and I hated it. Maybe you'll have better luck!

Day 7

It has finally started to cool down here so my morning walks are cool and the afternoon walks are not miserable. My goals are going well so far. I still have not been able to find any of the TVP that some people have mentioned. It is used in several of the recipes in my new cook book.

My September goals:

1) Lose 8 pounds
2) Stick with my running/workout plans (alternating days)
3) Eat within my SP range each day
4) Tone every day
5) Meditate every day
6) Make vegetarian meals for the whole family
7) Go to yoga class once a week

I feel like my #6 goal isn't fleshed out enough... like I need to attach a number to it. How many days a week? Then again, I don't really know how much we're doing now. I just want to do it more. I need to find more fabulous vegetarian entrees that will satisfy 3 hungry men/boys.

I joined just in time to make some September goals!

#1 is to buy what I can eat and to eat what I buy. I am bad about buying all sort of shiny veggies and then letting them spoil because I can't eat them all.

#2 is to eat "clean" as much as possible.

#3 is to go to the Y at least 3 times a week. (This is a new goal for me, as I just joined the Y yesterday.)

#4 is to walk on the bike trail at least 3 days a week, weather permitting. (And use the treadmill at the Y, if I can't walk outside.)

#5 is to practice yoga everyday. (I'm in a FB group challenge to practice yoga everyday for 30 days; this challenge started yesterday.)

This is probably a bit extreme-o, but I've set myself a goal to go b@lls to the wall in September and try to lose 12 pounds by burning at least 3500 calories a week and eating within my range 5/7 days per week.
emoticon
I'm going on a 6 week dream vacay starting October 1st, so this is my big push to create some momentum and give myself a shot in the arm before I head off!

Sooo... I'd definitely be up for a pounds or minutes-based challenge - and eager for as many friendly kicks in the a$$ as I can get!
