thanks so much. I will see which one I can find in my neighborhood. I would hate to have to order it online if I don't have to.

My "recipe" is to use "Better than Bouillon" www.superiortouch.com/retail/product
s/
better-than-bouillon
organic bases.

They generally taste great (personal preferences/tastes and all that) are SO EASY (just add to hot water and stir), and last (almost) FOREVER in the refrigerator.

I am an ardant fan of CHICKEN SOUP.. but just realized (DUHHHH) that it is adding a lot of chicken/turkey fat to my diet. And I really need to quit THAT..

I am looking for a recipe for a VEGETABLE BROTH.. that will make a good base for the soups I love so much. I could 'wing' it... but thought you gals/guys would know something better than I could make. emoticon

Vegan is just too hard core for me. All that worrying about did the food ever touch an animal product, heck I'm not even a good vegetarian : )

I did think it was funny that the author likes tofu but not tempeh and doesn't think that anyone else does either.

Thanks for sharing the article!

Thanks for the heads-up! Here's the link www.wholeliving.com/134652/mark-bitt

n-vegan-till-dinner

I just cracked myself up: I did a search for "Vegan until DONNER!" emoticon (typo)

I must protest the spelling of the title--it should read "Vegan 'til Dinner" or "Vegan until Dinner."

Go vegan one day a week? If you check out Whole Living's online edition today, this is a lead article along with vegan recipes.

My plan for February is to do the vegan til dinner concept, at which point I will be doing flexitarian style. That may not work for some but I like the idea (stolen from Mark Bittman).
