On Jan 28th, I did 240 twist jumps in my 10-min jump rope workouts - which I also combined with 745 normal jumps. I think it's kinda confusing to do the twist because I always end up doing side-to-side, haha.

Currently, the mind is spinning wildly and trying to decide whether next month should be a lighter challenge, to give the team rest or maybe I make some crazy workouts challenge, hehe.

Last week of scissor jump, I only managed to do one day, got 15 minutes. At first, a bit disoriented on how to swing the rope, haha. Then, I had so much fun, felt like skiing or at least that's how I imagine I'll do skiing in real life, haha.

### WEEKLY CHALLENGE ###

This week, January 23th to 29th:
Do 3 days of 500 reps of twist jumps. It's a jump where you twist your waist side-to-side, sort of like a half hula-hoop, I guess, haha. Each jump, no matter which side you twist your body to, is counted as one.

Don't forget proper warm up, cool down and stretches!

From that little piece on Mamak, it got me interested and did some research on Malaysia. First, the right kind of food. I consider Indian food to be superb defense against Alzheimer. The yellow foods with turmeric are the ones. I can use a low cost country to live while doing my computer work on my own budget for about 2-3 years. Thailand is cheap but it's so unruly, untidy that it's out of question. I've never thought about Malaysia until I saw this video. Malay looks much more organized. It also has the right kind of food (Indian Muslim) which is not widely accessible in Thailand.

Initially, I looked into KL, but changed my mind since I don't need to be in a big city. I can do my work from anywhere, so I'm better off some place else. I've focused my attention on Penang. It seems to have all the elements I'm looking for. I have about 3 years to prepare for this. So within that time frame, I'll need to visit the island at least once and spend a week at a time to investigate and make preparations.

Also as I watched a lot of youtube videos on KL and Penang, the custom/rule where women wearing hijab starts to grow on me. I like it. I find it attractive.

### WEEKLY CHALLENGE ###

This week, January 15th to 22th:
Do 3 days of 500 reps of scissors jumps. Every jump, no matter which foot is front and back, is one rep. If you're familiar with split lunges or jump lunges, this should be no problem as I think it's similar but with rope :D

Don't forget proper warm up, cool down and stretches!

Wow, same time as mine, can't believe it! And yay, you get without stopping or trips! Yesterday, I had several trips and rope snapping at my hands, ouch!

Yay, this time I finsihed 3 days of this week challenge (last week did two days only)!
2nd time, Friday, 13th, did 7:21 and yesterday, my 3rd, 14th, did 7:50 :D

Did my second attempt at 500 jump jacks.

This is crazy but my time was the same as yours FATHINSN.... I got 8:37 hehe! I'm way happy with that. And I managed the first 100 skips without stopping or trips yay!

Yesterday, I did my 1st 500 jacks jumps for this week, I did in 8 minutes 37s! I had lots of near miss of tripping but still managed to keep on jumping, maybe because I had several rest time, hehe.

YAY I joined the challenge today!

Did 500 jump jack skips. I timed it so I compare each day and see any progress. The 500 jump jacks took me 8:03. I then did 2 mins skipping as fast as I could.

I did almost cry when I was around the 400 mark, I kept tripping on the rope and whipping my hand with it. So so painful... It reminded me of my hate for jumping rope - but this is obviously something that needs some hard work for me... So I need to do this! I have a bruise on my knuckle!

Happy 2012, Jumpers!

Hope everyone has excellent start of the year! I wish I had a bright & sunny start but this time, I have a furry patient to take care, a challenge to give the medicine, haha. Anyhow, make reachable but still challenging goals this year and hope all of us get everything and not give up too early!

Our latest monthly challenge, it will be weekly time challenge.
For every week, do 3 days of 500 reps of a jumping style and keep track your time length by posting it here, in the team forum.

This week, January 1st to 7th:
Do 3 days of 500 reps of side-to-side jumps. 1 jump to one side is considers one reps.
For a beginner, you can try jump short length between right and left. Pause if you can't proceed and do marching to keep moving before continue your jumping.
If you want to make the jumping much harder, widen your jumping length from side to side. Or you can also make your arms farther than your body.

Don't forget proper warm up, cool down and stretches!
