Gosh, I forgot to update my latest total jumps for this month but I always do in my blogs.
Total jumps on 19th = 492 jumps in total 4 minutes
My December highest total jumps goal = 10K
Previous total = 6699

TwoCrows, how's your progress so far towards 15K, what's your latest number? It's getting near to Xmas, there might be lots of temptation and obstacles, hope you can fight them off and get your goal!

Dec 14th = did 890 jumps (part of BodyRock Day 1 of Xmas Workout)
Current total = 5245 (previous) + 890 = 6135
Jumps to reach my goal = 10000 - 6135 = 3865 (If I jump 1000 per day, I can get to my goal in less 5 days, hehe)

Hello hello! Woo, been a while. Looks like you're well on your way! I fell behind last week, and have been making it up slowly for the past two days. But I am determined to get to my 15000 for December. I plan to jump every day this month, excluding the 24, 25, and 31. If I can on those days, then great. Alternating days between pyramid and 500 jumps. Go big or go home, baby!

That's a good start, 2011JADE!

TWOCROWS, that sounds fun, a pyramid jump rope. I also have my own pyramid plan that I want to try, one is with jumps count (15, 30, 45 ... 30, 15) and another one is by seconds (15s, 30s, 45s, ..., 30s, 15s).

Varieties are fun!

Hi all! I'm new here but have been jump roping for a while. Thought I might just dive in...

I like to do a jump rope pyramid workout, they look sort of like this (all jumps are going fast)

It totals out to 1070 jumps. In between each set I like to do a quick cool down, maybe walking for 10-20 seconds or so.

Anyway, I did that today. My goal is going to be 15000 jumps from now until Dec 31!

I joined this group months ago, but never got active. During the last 6 months I have been off the band wagon and gained an extra 20lbs. As a result, I have been suffering from severe knee pain, my blood pressure has gone up, and I am now boarderline diabetic. Last week, I decided to come back to SparkPeople and get active with my SparkTeams. I started following my nutrition plan and have been walking, swimming, and doing some light weight training. Today I am going to begin jump roping. I know I will have to start slow and work my way up, but jump roping has been a goal of mine for years and I am ready to start.

I am going to see how long I can jump today, and add a minute everyday until I can jump for 15 minutes. Hopefully by this time next year, I will be able to jump for 30 minutes.

Hi Team!

For December 2011, it's a very simple challenge:
The last 31 days of year 2011, aim your highest total jumping! Whether you want to be specific (total jumps for different jumping styles such as jumping ropes, jumping jacks, frog jumps, jumps on trampoline, etc etc) or you can sum up all of your jumps, whatever techniques or types that you use.

I'm aiming for 10K jumps this December, what's yours?
