I hear what you're saying about when all heck breaks loose! Ugh! This happened to me yesterday. But, I decided to workout in order to relieve my frustration. I'm still in a blah mood today, but I will get through this somehow/some way!

I'm doing good! Yesterday, I started the C25K program. Penny inspired me to get started. I registered for 2 races: one this month and one in April. I just have to take special care of my knees during my training. I will be looking into some knee sleeves as well as getting some new running shoes. I just love running because it is such a stress reliever.

Thank you I will be fine it just isn't fun lol and most of the time people with celiac are skinny because of it but not me ugg if I didn't have bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all I will just have to stop eating gluten

Sorry I haven't been as active a lot has been going on my headache is better but had 2 doctors tell me it sounded as though I may have celiac so they did an internal test to verify so I would be able to eat gluten anymore but hopefully I won't feel like I'm nauseous all the time anymore either BUT maybe it's not and it is just my husbands cooking lol I should have the results from the test next week

Hi Purples, sorry I've been MIA again. My dd, ds, dh and I all got hit by a stomach virus so the last week has been hectic to say the least. Thankfully everyone else is doing much better and I feel like I am on the mend from it. Still have a queasy stomach but otherwise feel okay this morning.

All is going well. Yesterday, I was not feeling well at all. However, today, I feel a little better. I cannot stand that TOTM! Ugh! But overall, still doing good with my eating and working out! I love my Fitbit! It keeps me motivated to move!

I've been MIA as well, my dad is doing better but then my dd came down with flu-like stuff and was ill for a few days and this morning my ds has a stomach ache/throwing up so kept him home from school. Hey there Ladies! I hope all is well! Today is my weigh-in and I lost 2.5 pounds. I'm so proud of this because I have made some significant changes this month. First is eating clean. I never thought I would be able to incorporate an Eat Clean lifestyle! See, working out is not an issue for me, but eating is an issue! But, no more! WooHoo!

Hey everyone! I'm hangin' in there. Sorry I haven't stopped in sooner. It's been busy, but good. Just finished Week 6 of the Couch to 5k....it feels good!

I haven't been good with drinking water the last few days...I was sick Wednesday, off from work on Thursday, and had a busy day today...all excuses, I know. Tomorrow and Sunday, I challenge myself to drink that water. Anyone with me?

Everything is going good, except this craving for chocolate! Ugh! Like I said in my blog I have to figure how what I can eat pertaining to the chocolate cravings as well as how to increase my fiber intake! I have a few ideas I hope to implement into my Eat Clean lifestyle. Other than this, I'm doing pretty good!

Me, hanging in there. My cold is almost gone, still have the runny nose but otherwise doing well. Getting my exercise and water in. I did a couple of the T-Tapp workouts that I got from the library and I found it to be very informative. Need to take them out again and try a few more.

I am happy to hear everyone is doing well I am sorry I haven't been posting as much lately everyone has been sick here I am so so tired of having to blow my nose constantly and feeling so sorry for my babies feeling so bad but I think it's finally comming to an end and hopefully my son will not bring anything else home lol

Take care of your back! Please make sure you stretch, even after shoveling snow, which is great exercise! Also, playing in the snow is another great form of exercise! You'll definitely feel like a kid again! So, have fun when you get the opportunity to play in the snow! Afterwards, take a hot bath and get some serious rest!

Stevie that is great! You are truly motivated and disciplined.
My main exercise this week has been shoveling snow. I enjoy doing it, but my back is a little achy. I also want to get out on my snowshoes, but by the time I finish shoveling, I'm too tired. We live right in the heart of Madison, but I can take the snowshoes over to a nearby park to play in the snow. Maybe tomorrow. Today will definitely be a shoveling day.

Me: well, I loss another 2 pounds. That makes it a total of 12 pounds since starting this challenge and 14 pounds since coming back to Sparkpeople in November. Also, started a new workout yesterday. It's called Les Mills' Combat from Beachbody.com. One of my Spark Friends said that it's a great workout. However, she scared me about the next workout which is a HIIT workout! I do this workout today! Wish me luck!

Yep, new month and a new start! I'm gonna get my calendar out and plan some workouts. It's a paper calendar and I love to cross things off as I finish, ESPECIALLY a workout.

How about we come up with a challenge for our team this week? Should we all try the same challenge or each set our own goal? Could be a drink water, eat fruits/vegetables, or cardio challenge...

I never felt any lingering pain from that fall, not even a bruise! I have no idea how that happened, but I like it.

After a few mornings of very ugly numbers on the scale, this morning showed a great number:)

Penny, I hope your leg/hip are fine as well! Also, I want to do that C25K again, but I don't think my knees are going to allow me to do it again. I've been taking something for my joints. So, we'll see if I can attempt it! Much success to you as you continue the C25K.

For the past 2 weeks, I haven't been able to workout too intensely. I'm not sure if I'm coming down with something. My stomach has been upset that I have been living on saltines or something salty, which has been bringing in the bloat! So, I continue to drink water. I've actually have been drinking 2-3 liters of water, which means a lot of running to that restroom/bathroom. This has definitely helped me get away from my desk as well as do my squats/lunge challenge! With another SparkTeam, ever time you go to the restroom, you would do 10 squats and 10 lunges per leg. Now, I only do this challenge at work, but the amount of water I'm drinking, I've done more squats and lunges than I've ever done in my life! By the time I take my measurements, I've better have lost inches on my hips and thighs! Okay, I've said enough in this message! LOL!

Good afternoon all!

I tracked yesterday and did well. I have all my food written down today, but not tracked here at SP yet. This is just gonna have to become a habit. Jet, are you going to try tracking? We can help remind each other!

Stevie, I had to look up what a treadclimber was. I think I might like trying that machine. I might not last long on it, though:)

I took a tumble on the sidewalk between my front door and my Jeep this morning. We had a thin layer of ice-rain fall early this morning. It didn't look that dangerous. At first I slipped, caught my balance....slipped again, caught my balance...slipped again and down I went. I suppose I was just destined to fall, huh? I landed on my hip and down the side of my thigh. So thankful I didn't land on the knee that is giving me trouble (trouble only at night now, what's up with that?) and thankful I didn't try to catch myself and damage a wrist. Luckily, all that ice melted before I had to drive and deliver the mail.

Congrats to all those walking outside. I really don't mind winter, but I don't like exercising out in the cold. I've been treadmilling my walk/runs.

Waiting for a headache to go away so I can do my C25K program.

Jet and Penny, I started out just tracking one meal per day for a week, and then added another meal plus the first one the 2nd week, until I was tracking all my foods/drinks. I use a paper journal to track and most days just track one meal on Spark. I also need to track on Spark to get a better handle on my calorie consumption. Good Luck!

Stevie, Had to smile at using your tread climber as a clothes hanger. When we had our treadmill we used it that way for a while as well. Good Luck with your meal plan for eating clean. emoticon

Dee & Jet, WTG on walking outside! That's some dedication! I try to rush my little dog when I walk him outside because it is soooooo cold! I hate cold weather! LOL!

Dee, I like my Treadclimber now because I'm actually using it more often! At first, I was using it as a clothes hanger.

Penny & Jet, what about making tracking your food a mini-challenge for yourselves? Maybe, you can start out weekly until it really becomes 2nd nature for you. You can do it!

I'm still reading through Eat Clean Recharged. I also have a meal plan that I'm going to attempt in February that I found in Oxygen magazine. I will have to do some tweaking because it has some foods on it that I do not particularly care for, like avocados, cottage cheese, etc. I'm really pushing myself to meet this challenge of eating clean! Wish me luck because it starts next Friday!

I walked home from work and it was definitely brisk, but I also definitely prefer brisk to hot and humid. I seem to be stalled on my weight, and I know I simply need to track my food. What I know and what I am willing to do are two different things!

Hey Purple Ladies!

I think I'm going to do Turbo Jam tonight along with walking on my Treadclimber. Since, I'm detoxing, I cannot do too strenuous of a workout. Turbo Jam has a 20-minute workout. So, I think I'll do that one instead of the 45-minute workout as well as walk for 25 minutes. Then, I'll have a 45-minute workout in total!

How are all of you doing? How's your eating? Remember, eating well is 80% of the fit lifestyle!

Thank you guys most people don't understand why I am such a ninny about needles lol.
I do think I made the right decision about my meds I only have to go once a month and if I changed meds I might have to do it myself much more often it sucks but I like being able to walk so I don't have a choice lol but the nurse who does it is very good and doesn't dig around I have her do it in my hand my phobia is crazy
