I had just finished week two of this program. Am looking forward to week three. I found a team called bridge to 10K that I am interested in joining after I graduate the C25k. I also want to sign up for a 5K, just need to find a local 5K in Oklahoma.
I've had shin splints probably forever then. I need to figure out how to get rid of them. Stretching doesn't seem to help.

This is my favorite quote EVER!
shin splints can happen if you do too much too soon. It could be going to fast or too long. Your shins are just getting worked too much, and are getting stressed. Also having a good cushioned shoe, and running on softer surfaces will help.
Yours may not be shin splints. If you have them you will know. they hurt like ....

I just completed w1d1 and Im so excited!!!
I was also wondering what are shin splints and how do i avoid them? My shins kinda hurt today but I figure its kinda normal since im just getting ino running...but at the same time i want to make sure im not doing damage to myself if it is shin splints.
