going to run my first marthon on 10/04 of this year. ran several 5k,10k,15k and about 4 half marthon.im very nervous because my shins are a little sore and never ran over 19 miles and did that once.16 miles about 3 times in the past 8months,ran lots of 10 miles runs..hoping to finish in less then 4.5 hours
I am running the Columbus marathon in October. I ran a lot last summer but kind of feel off board over the winter and have just started up again. I've never run more than 5 miles at once though so I'm starting to get nervous. I don't think I'll be able to run the whole thing, but I want to at least finish it. Any tips?

I just got the news that I will be running in the Boston Marathon in 2009! I am so excited!! I can't wait to begin the challenge of conquering the miles and Heartbreak hill! Anyone with any tips for first time marathon training, feel free to let me know what they are!
