They do have personal trainers and people around that could probably help you, but it's mostly students so I don't know how knowledgeable they are.
I love the rec center though! They offer some awesome classes and I always go and use the elliptical (they have some pretty fancy ones).

If so, do they have someone there to help you out with knowing how to do the machines or will I have to help myself?

I have a huge gap in between some of my classes next semester and was thinking about heading over and using the rec center.
