I would love to be 180 by Turkey Day too - but I'm willing to settle for 185 which is 5 lbs from now. Wow I haven't been 185 in a long long time!! I've lost 1 lb this week so I have 4 to go!! Good Luck to All!!

I'm new to this group so this will be my first challenge. I'm recouping from foot surgery (finally able to wear sneakers) so I'm still hobbling along for only 10 minute walks twice a day. I have added strength training for the upper body 3x/wk and Yoga (2 positions) twice a week. I'm hoping this will carry me through and can lose the 5 lbs (and keep them off through the weekend!)

I'm in! My plan is to alternate walking and the elliptical trainer.

My plan is to do cardio 5 days a week, strength training 3 days a week, drink plenty of water and be mindful of my portions.

MARIA, that is a great idea!! So the UPDATED challenge is to ONE: Lose 5#'s by Thursday, November 26,2009 and TWO: To weigh the same or less on Saturday, November 28th!!

KIMISTRY, You can do it!!...

What are some goals you are setting to help make this happen?? Me, I'm going to make sure I get my water in, and I plan to walk 2 miles 5x a week!

I'm in! But how about a challenge to keep it off 2 days after Thanksgiving! We could easily gain weight if we go crazy, so let's also challenge each other to weigh the same two days after Thanksgiving as we do two days before Thanksgiving!

Looks like this group hasn't had a challenge in a while! How about we start one for Thanksgiving?? I'm not sure how all this works. But I'd like to challenge my group members to a 5# loss by Thanksgiving morning!
