Yup, me too. Don't worry about a few little kisses as long as you don't make it a habit many times a day. If you gotta, you gotta, so goes life and you sanity is much more important than 75 calories.

Sometimes we all have those days.. and when I do.. I have a secret stash of hershey dark chocolate kisses. I limit myself to 3-5. I get my chocolate fill , but not at too many calories. You can really have anything in moderation. As long as you don't eat cookies every day.. all day... (even though some days I"m sure we all could) lol.

It didn't take us one day to put on the pounds and UNFORTUNATELY, it wont take one day to get them stubborn pounds off either. So if you have a "bad" day, then shake it off.. just do the next day better. :)

I'm sure you can do it....

I am having a day where I am agitated, overwhelmed and panicked about all the things I have to do before I leave for vacation, and no matter, the days won't wait for me. I don't see how I can get it all done!

I don't *want* to track my food and I want to eat chocolate and chips cause they calm me down - but they make me guilty, too. I am not going to get to the goal weight I set and then I have a whole cruise ship full of food that is going to try to sink me -- WHAT WAS I THINKING??

sigh... I don't even knnow what kind of help to ask for...

A GREAT RECIPE FOR THE NEW YEAR!

1. Take a 10-30 minute walk every day. And while you walk, smile. It is
the ultimate anti-depressant.

2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day. Talk to God (or a
friend) about what is going on in your life. Buy a lock if you have to.

3. When you wake up in the morning complete the following statement, 'My
purpose is to__________ today. I am thankful for______________'

4. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is
manufactured in plants.

5. Drink green tea and plenty of water. Eat blueberries,
wild Alaskan salmon, broccoli , almonds & walnuts.

6. Try to make at least three people smile each day.

7. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip, energy vampires, Issues of
the past, negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest
your energy in the positive present moment.

8. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like
a college kid with a maxed out charge card.

9. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.

10. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

11. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

12. You are not so important that you have to win every argument. Agree
to disagree.

13. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.

14. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what
their journey is all about.

15. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.

16. Frame every so-called disaster with these words:
'In five years, will this really matter?'

17. Forgive everyone for everything.

18. What other people think of you is none of your business.

19. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.

20. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick.
Your friends will. Stay in touch!

21. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.

22. Each night before you go to bed complete the following statements: I
am thankful for__________. Today I accomplished_________.

23. Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed.

24. When you are feeling down, start listing your many blessings. You'll
be smiling before you know it.

May you always have

Hi Lisa
I am sure you know that having a baby depletes your body of some important nutrients. Between that and all the stress you ds under, which produces cortisol, I think you might have a true chemical imbalance. I am not a medical person, but there should be someone who could help you get yourself back. Perhaps some research online and/or a good doctor could help you? In the meantime, I think its important to get your vegetables and fruit in, as many servings a day as you can, to replenish the missing nutrients. Maybe promise yourself a bite of chocolate after a meal that has included some of the "good stuff?" Also, you could look into taking some 5HTP which helps produce seratonin. I take one 10 minutes before lunch.

I need advice in a serious way, or a kick in the butt. I had my baby on August 1, 2008 (my first and she is beautiful and healthy). I had lost 40 lbs in the months before I got pregnant, and was feeling pretty good. During my pregnancy I ate very healthy and only gained 8 lbs, my daughter weighed 7lbs 13oz, so I gained baby weight, but lost weight in the rest of my body. I was doing so good. But since I had Emily, I've been sliding sooooo far down and I'm starting to get depressed about it! I had 2 boxes of Russel Stovers in 1 and a half days recently. As much as I want to lose weight you'd think I'd be doing something about it, but Im doing the exact opposite! I eat all day long, snacking, meals, more snacking.. drinking milk, pop, ... UGGH.

I cant really exercise right now, my baby dropped really early and was laying on my cervix hard so my hip is higher on one side now than on the other (and my baby girl is getting fitted for a helmet cuz it made her head flat) I have some nerve damage from the epidural, bulging disks, constant back pain, and my leg hurst so bad all the time from the nerve damage. I was in better shape when I was in my third trimester than I am now. I could get around better then than I can now! Oh, Im gettin a breast reduction in Febuary! Im so big up top its making things so much harder too.

Im not sure what my deal is, but if anyone has any clue as to why I've practically given up on something thats so important to me, please let me know! And any suggestions as to how to start again and stick to the plan, I would sooo appreciate it! And if someone could remind me that all I have to do is stick to the darn plan, and that I CAN lose this weight with some effort, I would love ya for it!!!

Momentum can be difficult to establish. And that's what makes it so valuable.
Because once you have it going in your favor, momentum can be hard to stop. With momentum on your side, small efforts can bring big results, and those big results can lead to even bigger ones.
Yes, momentum takes some effort and commitment to put into motion. And it is very much worth the trouble.
Take the time and make the effort to start something positive. Even though, in the short term, it would be easier and more comfortable to just do nothing, look past those immediate concerns.
Look ahead to that point where momentum kicks in, and consider the value of putting it to work in your favor. Then get up, get going, and get to work on building that momentum.
Start something positive, and create some valuable momentum. You'll be able to ride that momentum as far as you can imagine.
-- Ralph Marston

Don’t Quit!

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
when the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must, but do not quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow—
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than,
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up,
When he might have captured the victor’s cup,
And he learned too late when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out—
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far,
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit—
It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.

—Anonymous

emoticon Climb The Mountain emoticon

I tried to climb the mountain today. As I inched my way up the path, I felt out of breath and had to turn back.

I tried to climb the mountain today. But, It was so hot outside, I thought I had better stay in my nice air-conditioned house and rest up for tomorrow's attempt.

I tried to climb the mountain today. On my journey, darkness started to fall and I was full of fear, so I had to return to a safe place.

I was ready to climb the mountain today. But I had so may other things to do, so instead of climbing the mountain I took care of the much more important tasks; I washed my car, mowed the grass and watched the big game. Today the mountain will have to wait.

I was going to climb the mountain today. But as I stared at the mountain in all it's majestic beauty, I knew I had no chance of making it to the top, so I figured why even begin trying.

I had forgotten about climbing the mountain today, until an old friend came by and asked what I was up to lately. I told him about all my plans to climb that mountain someday. I went on and on about how I was going to accomplish the task. He stopped me and said, "I just got back from climbing that mountain. for the longest time I told myself I was going to try to climb it but never made any progress."

I almost let the dream of making it to the top die. I came up with every excuse of why I could not make it up the mountain, but never once did I give myself a reason why I could. One day as I stared at the mountain and pondered, I realized that if I didn't make an attempt at this dream all my dreams would eventually die.

The next morning, I started my climb. It was not easy, and at times I wanted to quit. But no matter what I faced, I placed one foot in front of the other, keeping a steady pace. When the wind tried to blow me over the edge, I kept walking. When the voices inside my head screamed, stop! I focused on my goal, never letting it out of sight. I kept moving forward. I could not quit because I knew I had come too far to stop now. Time and time again, I reassured myself that I was going to finish this journey. I struggled mightily to make it to the top, but I CLIMBED THE MOUNTAIN.

"I have to be going," my friend said. "Tomorrow is a new day to accomplish more dreams. By the way what are you going to do tomorrow?" I looked at him, with intensity and confidence in my eyes, and said, "I HAVE A MOUNTAIN TO CLIMB." Author unknown
