Just checking in before I hit the sack. Sorry I have been MIA, but have had so many things going on here. Our Son is coming in the morning to mow and edge and whatever else we need done. We had 2 large oak trees cut back yesterday so we have spent the evening outside moving things so he can rake the many leaves tomorrow.
Love ya all, and you all are always in my dailty/nightyly prayers.

Great goals LMMIMI! Yes you can reach them by your birthday Feb 5th if you keep at it. Every thing we do adds strength for the next goal.
Marsh has the same workout that you do- you could partner up with her and share your experiences here. Have fun getting stronger every day!

You are right. At least it is unsaturated. And we are suppose to get a certain amount of good fats in our diet.

I don't know whether it would have enough protein or not. I guess you could google it to see.

I also use lowfat cottage cheese for one of my ways to increase protein. with the addition of fruit it can be quite good too.

Actually peanut butter has good fat and if you watch your portion you should have no trouble. I am wondering if the powdered has the protein I need to fill me up. We don't have it down here.

Glad to hear from Marsha. You have some solid goals for 2011. Glad you are posting them on your new journal. We will be interested in hearing how you do too.
I had never heard of dried Peanut Butter. Glad it has less fat. We love our P-nut butter but it sure is high fat.
We are just getting home from attending our favorite College Women's Basket Ball game. Our Lady Bears beat Notre Dame 76 to 65. Notre Dame was tougher to beat than any of the other teams we have played so far.

Marsha I have heard of the powdered peanut butter before. Does it have the same nutrients as the peanut butter? Also does it have protein. I do not fill up without protein.
I called a couple of our health food stores just now but they don't carry it.
Where do you find it online?

I ordered the powder Peanut Butter, and use it in my oatmeal in the mornings. It is quite tasty and less fat and calories.

This is my long term fitness goal I hope it is realistic and specific enough. I know things don't always happen as planned so I will be forgiving when screw-ups happen but I promise to keep at it til I reach my goal.
Nutrition wise I will continue using SPARKS Vegetarian Meal plans-tweaking them to match my own nutrition goals.
Fitness wise I plan to average at least 15 minutes a day of workouts in some form. Wish me luck. I will keep you posted on each date as to what really happened.
You are welcome to post your own goals right here and how you plan to make it happen. I need all the help I can get.
Pat

Thanks Irene- You are doing a great job of maintenance. I love your ideas of using peanut butter in such creative ways. We are using allot of PB around here since starting the mainly Vegetarian diet.
Thanks for your support and leadership in healthy ways to get our nutrition daily!
Now I will try to practice what I preach by setting my own goals and we will see if I can make it happen for me!

Very well written Pat. Hope a bunch jump on the wagon.
I had dessert yesterday but ate good last night and today.
I brought home most of my salmon and will have a sandwich tonight with it.
I am drinking my water and also green tea with splenda.
My friend introduced me to that tea.
My tortilla chips now are actually baked tortillas and thin with very little salt. They have only 40 calories in each one. I put peanut butter on them for a snack if I need one.
I also put peanut butter in oatmeal and found out it is very good.
Tomorrow I weigh in and expect to be below my goal weight. As you know I go to TOPS and Thursday is my weigh in day.
Thanks for all you do Pat.
I have tried writing and encouraging some of the people but I think Nadine is having problems that keeps her from posting.
God bless.

As you may already know-The #1 predictor of success is to set goals for ourselves.
We can increase our chances of success by using some smart goal setting techniques.

Start with a Long Term Goal.
Writing it down keeps the goal fresh and clear in our minds.

Next Create our target date.
Maybe set weekly or monthly goals to help us get there.

Finally our short term action plan.
These are our daily and weekly nutrition and fitness goals

overall our health goals should be
Realistic--Specific--Forgiving--Crystal Clear--Why--Challenging--Rewarding--Backed up--
and
Have options waiting that help us stay consistent in the face of the unexpected.

Goals are just dreams that we can write down and keep track of.

So we can create our own "Goal Calender" by just using the SPARK Planner and maybe printing it off
OR use a calender we have on hand already.

Ok These are our easy steps to make it happen.===
You may POST HERE or just SEND YOURSELF a daily E-mail reviewing how you did yesterday and what you plan to do today. emoticon
