I am happy that you got 30 minutes in on the treadmill even though you didn't feel 100%. I have found that The more we do the better we feel so keep up the good work. We are on our way!

hi pat i didnt get out this morning,i didnt sleep well last night but i did get on the treadmill and do 30 mins. still working on being mindful about what i put in my mouth.

You just have to keep at it. This is the mess up I warned you about.
Take full advantage of the meal plans on here , be sure you increase your fruits and veggies and decrease your carbs and keep your goal in mind, stick to your plan YOU will win in the end.!!

thank for that info happymom8 i think i'd better re think my goals : as for my workouts i been doing good , today i am doing lisa in home walk 1 mile and this evening 15 mins on treadmill= about 30 mins

emoticon Glad to see you have set a long term goal. That is the first step. Yes it is possible.

Long term goal--Let's do some math. May 4th is almost 6 months a way -so break that 60 pound goal down into about 23 weeks.

Short term goal-- If you lost 2.25 pounds a week every week without fail you could do it.

Daily goal-If you use the Nutrition counter here- making sure you get the nutrients you need to stay healthy and still not go over your limited calories for your height

and use the Fitness counter and work out every day faithfully-

What you do each Day is what is important. Working on Short goals helps you reach your Long term goals.

Mess ups are normal. Life has a way of throwing curves at us. Don't get discouraged. Never give up! Just be happy with your every day achievements.

No Avalance, No ice cream, No dessert today although I ate with a missionary who had dessert. I didn't even look at it.
I eat too much protein but it keeps me full.

I didn't quite make my first goal of enough protein- but I am mindful of of.
I am getting to bed at a more reasonable time-which makes me want to get up earlier.
We are half way through our May challenge of 21 days and I think we are making good new habits, don't you?

Today's food intake went very well in spite of eating at our daughter's. First we had a simple breakfast and only soup and a couple of crackers for lunch-in anticipation of the gourmet meal for dinner. Our 2 granddaughters had cooked a wonderful meal around the ham their mom baked. Sweet potatoes, fresh garden salad, a corn souffle, whole wheat roll and baked apples! Even a delicious wine. Anyway- I was careful with my serving sizes and when I came home to post- I was below my calorie allotment for the day!.
Will try to get to bed early again.

Pat it makes me know I can do it. I did it before and I can do it again.
I don't need sweets. Fruit is my dessert now.
I am so glad for your 2 pounds lost. I don't know if I have lost weight. I didn't get to weigh in last week and don't at the gym as the scales are different. I will find out this week.

May 7/2010- Still planning my meals to try to get enough protein- Fell a little short today but I couldn't add any more protein without going over my new goal- 1100 calories a day. But I came close. Reached all my other nutritional needs.
Now I hope to get to be by 10:30 or close to it.

I planned my meals carefully today and was able to reach my Protein goal (number one)
I am just now being able to get back to the computer after a very busy day-but I hope to get to bed by 10:30 . We will see.
Speaking of sugar- I had one of my left over chocolate chip cookies - a small one)today and 1/2 of DH's Mollasses cookies.

I got up at 6:00 this morning. Feeling great with a nights sleep.
I have planned my meals to include protein of some sort today at ea. meal and snack. will report my results later.

Bone on bone knees doesn't sound good. I had bone on bone hip and had hip replacement and was never sorry. The pain went away.

Busy day today- tons of wash to catch up, food to take to the food bank, it is raining and we have our Relay for Life walk all night tonight, they plan to move it to an indoor arena if it is raining tonight, dh and I hope to do a couple of rounds any way. Will see how it goes. We have a wheel chair for him if he wants it. He has bone on bone knees and walking long distances is not his cup of tea. Will keep you posted.
