Good for you, Jerry! You are going to gain more strength the more you use your muscles.
We have grab bars in our shower too!
And railings at both front and back steps.
Our DSIL installed a stool in our bathroom that is a couple inches higher than normal stools. That is so much easier to get up and down from than regular.
When DH was recovering from his knee operation last year, DSIL also raised his easy chair and a couch with blocks under his chair and purchased "lifts" under a couch. He even raised his kitchen chair up . There are lots of things that can be done to make it easier and safer if we think about it.
I am so glad you are working on becoming stronger every day . Just know your self and go at it slowly but surely.
