I agree with the helping others. Tomorrow I'm giving blood. Whenever I do that, it renews my spirit. And it has been awhile since I have made time to do it. Helping others really does a lot to make you feel good about yourself.

Plus as corny as this sounds, it is some alone "me" time. No kids. Whohoo!

It is a really difficult time for think of what I can do for me with all the heartache that has happened here in Borden, Pekin, Henryville and Marysville, IN. My goal is to help as much as I can and to make a dent in the clean up effort from the tornadoes. I find that helping those around me actually helps me. I have been slacking in my self Reiki so I will challenge to do that 3 times a week.

This one is very hard for me....I will again commit to 3 days a week doing "something" special for myself.

Yesterday I had my hair cut, colored and highlighted. I loved it so much, the hair and the alone time that I had to relax. The bad part, when I came home.....NO ONE noticed. Not my 3 teenage boys, not my 3 1/2 year old (who is usually very observant) and NOT my husband. I am very disappointed. I'm going to see how long it takes for someone/anyone to notice. It is quite different - so they should have noticed.

Let's commit to this challenge again. Set a certain number of days a week that you WILL commit to finding yourself. Sometimes it can be a little overwhelming to say we will do it everyday. So, let's commit to a certain number of days a week and really push ourselves to reach that goal. We need to take care of ourselves so that we can take care of our loved ones too.

If you weren't involved with this goal last month...LISADHARPER1 came up with the idea to take care of herself and make it a challenge. Some of the Mom's came up with great ideas to pamper themselves, doing their nails, putting on clothes that made them feel good, reading a book, etc. We feel this is something very important- we need to take care of ourselves, so we can be the best we can be for ourselves and the people in our lives.

Please take a moment and post what your goal is for each week and come back when you complete that day and let us know what you did to "find yourself". Have fun with this one! Please share your ideas with the other Mom's so we can find new ways to take care of ourselves.

Malia
