I would say if you have a salad put some chickpeas or black beans and maybe some corn, tomatoes, peppers. Whatever you would preferr and use salsa for the dressing. It keeps me full longer than a regular salad. Now when I make chili, I throw in a can of black beans, and chickpeas along with the kidney and chili beans. It's a lot of fiber and so filling. Otherwise munch on your veggies. I know what a pain in the butt it is to find time to cut up veggies so maybe once in awhile splurge on the precut veggies or ask your husband to cut them up. emoticon

spark people has a recipe for 15 bean soup with ham that is great and very filling and CHEAP to make!

Yeah.. once in a while I do that, but it does get hard sometimes... I usually try to do it while he's napping, but then during nap time I tend to get caught up on other things!! I do need to start that though!! :)

I know it is hard to take time to cut up veggies in the kitchen with little ones around, but maybe if you have fresh carrots and broccoli to snack on, that would help, too.

I have the same problem... I love to eat!! Snack mostly, which is what kills me the most. I'll do really good with my meals and then in the evening when we sit down to watch a movie, then I want popcorn, chips, whatever is junk basically!! I'm just trying to get myself to snack on trail mix... I find that some of those mixes with nuts are filling, but you have to be careful not to eat too much or else you are consuming too much fat or sodium. Also, cheerios. They are good for you and they seem to make a good snack. I've been putting cheerios, raisins, and a few chocolate chips or m&m's (just as a sweet treat for me) in a bag that is my cheap and easy trail mix... then I'm not snacking so much on chips! I hope that helps you some!!

I like bean soups. I used to not eat beans often, but now I do.

Also, I made myself a smoothie this morning. I meant to have it with cereal, but I forgot to make the cereal after the smoothie. I didn't get hungry until nearly lunchtime. My smoothie recipe is easy: 1/2 cup each of yogurt, fruit, and juice. I use frozen fruit, and thaw it overnight in the fridge.

I love to eat, I get hungry lot, so what are some really filling foods, specifics please..not just lots of fiber...but like meals, any ideas?
