I was just sitting here reading some posts (from this team & others), and thought of a possible idea for a challenge, and want to see what you guys think/ if anyone else wants to join me.
I've always thought that the 'loose a pound, donate a pound of food', or those 'loose a pound, add a $ to your savings jar' that some groups do, especially this time of year sound cool, but seeing as though I only loose 1 lb about every 3 months, i didn't ever want to join a challenge I knew I wouldn't be able to have much success in. Not to mention I can't afford much.
So, I was just sitting here and thought of something similar, but I think we could all do...
My idea is:
for every so many SparkPoints, say 500, a person earns, then that person does something for someone else.
Whatever the person does for someone else is completely up to them. It could be giving someone a Sparkgoodie, donating a few cents to charity, making cookies for someone, giving an extra hug, anything like that.
I know as caregivers, our lives are filled with giving to others, and there are days where our caregiving responsibilties take up every aspect of our day. On days like that, that would count for this challenge, but I think it would be nice to, if and when possible, do things for others that we don't do on a normal basis. It could also be doing something a little extra for those we care for or other family members, like maybe giving a back or foot rub if we haven't for a while, or painting their fingernails, something like that.
What do you guys think?
