Yea we have crows too, one of the girls I work with has had problems with a young crow flying into her window all the time - its tinted and he doesn't realise its a window I don't think just crashes into it! My fav birds out at the moment tho are the rosellas (a type of parrot) and the little "red rump" parrots a little grass parrot that chitter chatter to each other like budgies - so cute!

yep, we have crows here, too.... lots of crows! We have a filed right next to our appartment, and sometimes in the later fall it looks like the field is covered with a black blanket b/c so many of them like to hang out there!

wouldn't you know it, I just saw a magpie about an hour ago (on my way home from dropping someone off). I think you sent it up here just for me, deb...lol...

No magpies here. We have crows and when they are learning to fly they will fall on the ground. If you go near them the whole flock will get mad at you!

Turning to fall here and I'm LOVEing it. I'm ashamed to say I was getting sick of summer. I didn't even have 90 weather to complain about. But we had a really dry summer and more hot than usual. I was born and raised here in Western WA (USA) and we usually have moderate summers with occasional rain. I was really getting sick of having to water my garden and it suffered as a result. I'm ready to change wardrobes and have cosy fires in the fireplace.

Exercise-wise, there are usually breaks in the weather for walks or there is always an exercise video to pop in.

yes,we do have magpies (in the area where I live), but I haven't seen one for quite a while. I saw them more often when I was growing up, 300 miles south of where I live now.

forgot to mention one other thing Spring brings - one of the guys at work rides his bike and has had to withstand swooping magpies for the last few weeks. When they have their nests some magpies get very territorial. Do you guys have magpies?

Spring in the southern states of Australia - changable weather (4 seasons in one day ranging from freezing to balmy to pouring rain!)
the AFL grand final (Australian Rules football)
kids on their 3rd term school holidays
up coming shows (like your carnivals or state fairs i think you call them)
flowers everywhere - natives such as wattle and others as well
daylight savings, longer days and more time to exersize lol

I like that the temps are finally starting to cool down. at least in the evening & mornings here, so far.... it's still been up into the 90's in the afternoons, but hopefully that will change soon so I don't have to keep turning the A/C on!

I don't like that it's getting dark earlier already. (except when the sun is down, it cools off!)

Ia m looking forward to the trees changing color & probably buying a pumpkin.

As of yet, what I eat & do for exercise hasn't changed.... yet...

IT's a new season! For us in the north, it's fall, and for those in the sourthern hempisphere, it's spring!

What you you like or dislike about this season of the year?
What do you enjoy doing this time of year?
what exercises do you do & foods do you eat this time of year, and is it different that other times of the year?
