That's b/c they r an American site. I wonder if they consider there r ppl from UK, down under etc. I'm sure most of the members are US.

I ran in 11c yesterday. as it wasn't windy, it was quite pleasant. Esp by the time I ran uphill! 6.5k in 1hr. I totally have hibernated today. 7c outside @ 12pm. we got a DVD out. (Twilight, was awesome)
I plan to keep active & hopefully, keep warm.
Weight aint budging despite 90% being v good. Frustrating. Short of a trip to Thailand, there isn't much I can do.

Ooh this is good. And I think we should all try to post as much as we can on this thread (or in this team in general) because it's true, motivation really does wane in winter!

The cold makes me want to just curl up in a blanket and hibernate, but at the same time I find that totally silly because cooler temperature makes exercise more pleasant once you get into it. It's just the act of getting into your workout clothes that seems to be the biggest hurdle.. once that's taken care of it's easier to just get on with it! haha oh well, I'm sitting here finishing off a bottle of water and then I'll get changed and go for it. And THEN I'll have the rest of the day to snuggle up with a book ;)

p.s. anyone else see that article on the main page - something about gearing up for summer?? they totally don't care that some people in the world are freezing their bums off! haha oh how depressing!

no way!!! i aim to lose 3 kg by the end of winter - being cold is helping me get into the exercise buzz, i feel great afterwards - having a treadmill at work helps too as i spend most of my time at work anyhow, when my colleagues go out for a cigarette break i go do my crunches or 10 minutes on the treadmill. not always though it really depends on how much sleep i've had.

I am lucky to have the Redwood forest here in Rotorua. Quite sheltered from wind & rain a lot of the time. I certainly have slowed down a lot since skowl holls. I was running 7.5km 2 x week & a 11.5 km 1x week. I ran yesterday, 7.5km, for the 1st time in ages. I hate the cold, oh baby it gets cold in Rotoveges! I will reluctantly drag out the treadmill as well. Have continued with weights.
We all should be grateful it doesn't get as cold as America. They get minus 30 in some places...brrr
I hope i don't gain any!

I think that is a challenge worthy to give a go.
After the last few weeks, this may help to get me away from winter comfort food, and not letting a little ole frost keep me from walking to walk at least 3 times a week - weather permitting, rain .

I'm finally starting to see the scales go down a bit and I am aiming for that, but it is harder in winter

As Autumn takes hold and Winter approaches I know I am more likely to exercise less but eat more. Over Winter we need to keep exercising and watch food intake. My challenge is that we put on no more than 3kgs over the winter months from May to July.
