I love this challange! Tomorrow is the anniversary of my Dad's death and I was sitting here trying my darndest to NOT get consumed with the sadness I always feel on 12/21. Getting outside of myself and thinking of others is exactly what I needed. Thank you!

RHALES199, I'd count everything you're doing with your husband already a good deed!!! So you are way ahead of us!!!

As for me, I called this volunteer program where you go to a hospice and talk to people there, people that have little or no family. I think I have so much, I want to give something back!

I've been trying to do this already this season, but it's been hard due to having to deal with my hubby continued back problems and preparing for his possible surgery soon (we find out on Wed, the 23, when he has a consult with a neurosurgeon), plus taking care of everything holiday- wise.
I was, however, able to do something nice for someone else today.
I keep bags of goodies to give to any 'street person' I see (ie, anyone standing on a corner with a sign, if you know what I mean...)... right now I have in them a bottle of water, a packet of tuna, a fruit bowl, fork & spoon.
I was able to give one of those bags away as I left Winco this morning.

ps.... if anyone wants to know more about what my HD (& I) are dealing with, you're more than welcome to read my most recent blog :).

Great idea! I can do this. I'll let you know what I did and how it went.

The choices you make today will determine the path that your life will take.

Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know 'why' I look this way. I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved.

I woke up inspired this morning. The Christmas songs playing on my alarm clock, all the beauty of the season... and it made me forget about myself and start thinking that not everybody is as lucky as I am.
So I decided to propose this challenge, until 12:59 PM on December 31st:

- Do at least one good deed without expecting anything - I MEAN IT - anything in return. Not even tell anybody if you can (just us here, of course). Can you do a good thing just for the sake of doing it?

Let's inspire and be thankful for what we have!
