I have a ton of workout music I listen to. I listen to Let it rock- Lil wayne, stanky legs- gs boyz, Michael Jackson's songs, Neyo- Miss Independent. I really have almost every song on my ipod and since I am a dancer I dance to any song that comes on when I play it. So if slow it will be my warm up song on cool down and if its fast it can go with my aerobic exercise. But I usually watch hip hop or any type of videos with choreographed work and copy the steps and make it in a workout.

I'm pretty big on using Flogging Molly or SR-71 when I'm running since it's pretty fast paced, so it keeps me going.

I LOVE listening to Lady Gaga while working out! Almost every song on her album has a steady, quick beat!

I use my slacker. It creates custom playlists of whatever artists I specify. I usually go for a variety of 90's pop. For me, the key is to have a different mix every time.

I love the song "Just Fine" by Mary J Blige.

It has a great beat, and awesome lyrics like:

"No time for moping around, are you kidding?
And no time for negative vibes, cause Iím winning
Itís been a long week, I put in my hardest
Gonna live my life, feels so good to get it right

So I like what I see when Iím looking at me
When Iím walking past the mirror
No stress through the night, at a time in my life
Ainít worried about if you feel it
Got my head on straight, I got my mind right
I aint gonna let you kill it
You see I wouldnít change my life, my lifeís just fine."

Other good songs: "Are you gonna be my girl?" by Jet, And "Let It Rock" by Kevin Rudolf is AWESOME for doing repetitive sit-ups. ;)

Skye Sweetnam has a remake of "Heart Of Glass" that's awesome and Katy Perry is good, but I love the song Over-rated by Alexz Johnson for my workouts!

I usually listen to more poppish rock while I run.. Anberlin, The Cab, Jack's Mannequin, Mae.. and then definitely Lady GaGa and Kanye West, as well. High energy, repetitive, and fun

If you really want something taylored to working out, there are CD's you can buy for about 10$. I got one the other day, it is called Latin Cardio, and is just a compilation of up beat get up and shake it latin music. I absolutely love listening to it while i workout. There are a few different ones to chose from, I also saw a Salsa Cardio one.

Hope this helps.

when i listen to music while working out it's usually my ipod and i have a few different playlists to choose from depending on my mood. My ROCK OUT one has a lot of songs that just make you want to dance (pussy cat dolls when i grow up, christina aguilera dirty, nelly, beyonce, tech n9ne, Ludacris, will smith, Girlicious, Rihanna, Gym class heroes, etc) and my other one that i normally listen to is my OH HOT DAMN, all the songs that make me smile and no matter what i just have to move some how to lol and those are: all i want to do by sugarland, just the two of us will smith, sexy lil thug beyonce, informer snow, single ladies beyonce, all summer long kid rock, that's the way i like it, pickin wildflowers, getting jiggy with it, caribou lou, what is it by baby bash, i love rock n roll the brittney spears version (from my cheerleading), johnny and june, t-shirt, calabria 2008, disco inferno and other songs by 50 cent, eminem etc...

i just like to listen to music that makes me feel good, because that's the whole point of working out, to make yourself feel good.

:) hope that helps a little bit??

Caitlin

I listen to The Biggest Loser soundtrack. All the songs are 120+ bpm. It's really easy to work along with. Also, Lady Gaga - Just Dance, Savage - Hips Swing, and Kanye West - Workout Plan.

how many of you workout to music... and what songs, or artists do you generally listen to?

I'm trying to get a playlist going that I can listen to when working out to keep me in time and give me a general idea of how long to workout for.

thanks ^_^
