Hi everyone. I have no thyroid and have been through 5 neck dissections and radiation. So my weight is crazy. I feel awful and look terrible - I need to get back on track for my family. We can do this!
So i dont' know if i'm doing something wrong or if it's just because of my non-existant thyroid...eating well...exercising...and i'm gaining instead of losing :( waiting for my call from the hospital for my low iodine diet to go for my 2nd yearly scan...just getting my iron levels back up from being anemic over the winter...this seems to be a harder road than i had initially thought. BUT I know i can do this...I have to ....it's all i want right now...to be lighter...happier...healthier.

Climbing back on the wagon! I started Spark months ago all motivated and I was even seeing great results. I lost 4 inches off my waist. I went to the doc and was told my 1 year body scan is coming in September. Nerves got the best of me and off the wagon I went. A week ago I measured and had put back 1/2 an inch. First I was sad then I was grateful I had been down for almost 2 whole months and ONLY gained a 1/2 inch! Over the last week I have been trying harder and last night I checked and that 1/2 inch gain is gone. Now to the average person that may not seem like anything but to a thyroid cancer survivor that has no thyroid that is huge. I have also learned that things happen and I may fall down but I am strong enough to get back up.
