I was able to lose weight on the LID - I followed the one from the Thyca website. I ate a lot of cereals - (Kashi Autumn and malt-o-meal comes to mind). I ate fresh fruits and vegetables, baked myself some banana bread and followed the french bread recipe on the King Arthur's flour. I was usually hypo when on the LID so I also made some turkey burgers and chicken breasts and froze them so all I had to do was heat them up. The home made bread was yummy and I used it for the turkey burgers.
Knowing I would be on it for a few weeks was helpful. How are you doing on it?
When you go in for the RAI, it's recommended to take sour things to suck on to prevent salivary gland issues. I took a bag of sour dried cherries from Trader Joes but I've heard many people use lemon candies. I also took in about 6 big bottles of water and drank them pretty quickly the first day to flush out the excess RAI.
