Well here goes......The Yearner, The Log and The Solider, occasionally I wake up this way , I have sleep apnea and use a CPAP machine. It's really weird waking up on my back with my arms across my chest or along side my body when I have always slept on my right side, right arm under the pillow. Guess things change as we age.

God gives me every day and I am thankful. I hop to my goals daily.

Very important. Sleep on legy side if you have any form of indigestion. For me,it was a major problem with acid reflux.

I think I sleep like The Freefall.
I sleep on my stomach... i cant get to sleep any other way.

But my last boyfriend said everyonce in a while he would wake up and my butt would be in the air... my parents use to say the same thing...
I don't know why I sleep like this?

This is weird. The only one I'm not is Log, though Starfish is pretty rare for me, too.

So I'm a Fetal Freefalling Yearning Soldier.

Does that make me weird? I do admit that Fetal and Yearning are the most frequent of the four.

I was two of them. I'm the LOG at times and others I'm the FREEFALL. I usually sleep on my right side with my arms close to me to keep warm fully covered up. But my fav position is my belly with one arm under my pillow the other along my side.

Hate to sleep on my Back I have Nightmares for some reason.

I noticed this morning that I went to sleep on my stomach but woke up on my back. This happens quite often.

I feel like I'm getting smothered if I am completely covered. I can NOT have my face covered, ever. I have total panic attacks.

Last night I tried to pay attention to how I was sleeping. I was partially on my side part stomach, I had one arm under my pillow and the other by my side.

Make it a good day,

Gini

I am the one in 10 that is completely covered. When I was a little girl, I thought if I couldn't see monsters, they couldn't see me. So I would cover up completely, with a pillow over my head, and usually only the tip of my nose exposed to get air. I am 51 and still sleep that way. No letting up my guard on those monsters...ya know, they are just laying there, waiting for me to slip up!

When I do sleep, it's all over the place. sometimes on my back, mostly on my side and stomach. I don't fit any of those descriptions well.

Man, if I'm too cold, I can't fall asleep at all. And if I get cold in the middle of the night, I'll literally wake up.

I always sleep on my left side in the foetal position and I stick bot of my feet out from under the blankets unless it is very cold in the bedroom. I think having your feet cooler helps you to drop your temperature and make it easier to drop off to sleep.

Hmmm ... I think I sleep either in the Starfish position or in a Fetal position. Occasionally, I sleep in a Yearner position.

It's kind of weird to think about how I don't always sleep in the same position.

BF likes to sleep on his stomach (The Freefall). I cannot sleep that way, but I suspect many women aren't comfortable that way.

When I finally do fall asleep I am a free fall sleeper. My husband is a fetal. My son is a flip flopper and top of the bed to the bottom of the bed, and left side of the bed to the right side of the bed. He sleeps where ever the dog moves. emoticon

What sleep?

Had a surgery in July. The weight has been creeping up on me since then. Think I was nervous about exercising. Not an excuse. Seriously was worried about damaging myself. Lost 100lbs back in 2009....20lbs back in past 3 1/2 months. Gotta get active....

Fetal, with my ears covered up because growing up I had nightmares about witches on the ceiling. If my ears aren't covered, they will fly down and bite me on the ear. I am 66 and still cannot sleep without the covers over my ears. LOL

Choose your sleep style below, and see what it says about you (or your partner)!

The Fetal

By far the most common sleeping position (41 percent of us curl up like this), fetal-position sleepers are generally tough on the outside, but soft and sensitive at heart. They're usually shy when first meeting someone, but soon open up and relax. Fun fact: Twice as many women as men sleep like this.

The Log

Those who lie on their side with both arms down are usually social, outgoing and enjoy being part of the in-crowd. "Logs" are very trusting of strangers, but are often characterized as gullible. This is the second most popular sleep style (15 percent).

The Yearner

Yearners (13 percent) sleep on their sides with both arms stretched out in front of them. They are said to have an open nature, but tend to be slightly suspicious and cynical. It takes them a while to make up their minds, but once they decide on something, they rarely waver.

The Soldier

If you sleep on your back with both arms pinned at your sides (8 percent), chances are you are quiet and reserved. You don't like to make a fuss, but do set high standards for yourself and others. Not-so-fun fact: Soldier-sleepers are more likely to snore and have a bad night's sleep.

The Freefall

Brace yourself: People who sleep on their stomachs with hands up around their head (7 percent) can come off as brash and unreserved, but are really a little nervy and thin-skinned underneath. Freefallers don't like criticism or extreme situations. Fun fact: Sleeping like this is good for digestion.

The Starfish

If you like on your back with both arms up on your pillow (5 percent), you are always ready to listen and often offer help where needed. Starfish sleepers generally make good friends -- but tend to dislike being the center of attention. Not-so-fun fact: Typically leads to snoring and restless sleep.

The remaining people studied said they either varied sleep positions of didn't really know how they slept.

Bonus fun fact: Most people sleep with one foot or leg hanging out of their sheets. After that, the next largest group sleeps with both feet hanging out the bottom. And 1 in 10 people cover themselves COMPLETELY with their blankets.

I am the fetal and Dh is the Starfish(he snores)

And always remember~~~ If life offers you lemons~~~~ask for tequilla and salt and call me over !!
