Kenpo X. It moves so quickly and there are so many moves that are foreign to me that I do not do much of it well, nevertheless I kept the heart rate up and burned 631 calories. I'll be good at Kenpo X by the time my 90 days are up this round : )

Picking up where I left off last spring. Well, picking up a bit behind where I left off last spring - - - backsliding over the 6-month hiatus was unavoidable, but I don't have too, too much catching up to do. I did the Chest and Back warm-up and the SparkPeople Fit Test today. Will start Classic tomorrow with Chest and Back and there'll be no looking back till Christmas when I'll be the skinniest, fittest Santa to come down our chimney ever!!!

Lucky you! I like the Yoga workout, but I'd say it is my least favourite also--it seems *so* long, and I'm usually disappointed that I can't hold the balance poses long enough, and I just *know* I'm not showing good form in a lot of the other poses. *BUT* when it's all done, I feel *so* good, and it does do wonders for my old-man-general-stiffness : )

hmmmm.... how did I work my abs today? I'm off P90X till the fall as my days are just too unpredictable for the next few months. For abs today, I was on my back, face up inside the outgoing kitchen cabinets, undoing the hardware that attaches the cabinets to the countertop and to the wall. "That" was a real-life abs workout : ) So far I'm staying in my target weight range w/o P90X, but I'm missing Tony and the crew ; )

Ab ripper seems like it's about an hour long for me. It is getting better though. I'm on my first recovery week, and get to stretch today. I might do the Insanity fit test with my husband to....I'm scared!

Ab ripper's one of my favourites--for me, it's so fast that it seems it's over before it's barely begun. Mind you, if I were to be given points for form, I'd fail miserably. At this stage, though, I figure if I feel the muscles working, I'm doing the exercise with good enough form to do me some good, even if not *all* the good it will do when I get the form down pat.

Ugh! My crazy work/sleep schedule just didn't allow for a workout yesterday or Saturday! Can't wait to get home later this morning (night-shifter), sleep, and then be able to jump back into the workouts. Even 2 days off of workouts leaves me feeling Blah! But I guess I can't do a good workout if I'm not getting enough sleep.

No P90X today. In fact, it's time to put Tony and the Folks away for quite a while. I'll do my 60-day weigh-in, evaluation and pics tomorrow and then it's time to exercise differently. We're about to do a major renovation so will have to convert my exercise space to a makeshift kitchen and storage area. We have a couple of weeks to pack up most of the main floor rooms and find places to store furniture, appliances etc so we can tear out some walls, put in new ones, re-design and replace the kitchen, put new floors in for more than 3/4 of the main floor, and replace all entry doors, patio doors, diningroom French doors, and several windows. It'll all take till about the end of May, then it will be summer and I'll have no occasion for indoor workouts. Probably towards the end of September I'll hit P90X again. Hopefully the physical work I'll be doing in the meantime and the kinds of outdoor exercise I engage in will keep me from slipping too much away from my new P90X physique, which I rather like : ) I'll keep up with Sparkpeople but with a reduced level of participation. See you all again in the fall : )

Day 2 - cardio X. I finished the program 1 and a 1/2 times about two years ago, but due to an illness I had to quit working out. I'm hoping to get back on track now and burn some goo!! Fingers crossed that I don't get sick again!! (I had really good results after the first 90 days, but unfortunately I lost all the muscle I had gained and gained back all the fat!!)

Yesterday: X Stretch as I'd pulled a calf muscle the day before and didn't figure I could do some of the Yoga X poses.
Today: Legs/Back & Ab Ripper X and everything was OK. I was careful with the tender calf, but it was able to do everything it had to do. Feels gooooood!

Cardio X. Burned 360 calories, again, fewer than last time I did the workout. Guess I have to try to step up the pace. btw: resistance bands make a good substitute for the pull-up bar. They're about $15 each here. They come in various strengths. I bought green, the most resistance level I could find in the store. May not be perfect, but it does give the arms and chest a workout. good luck with ab ripper. I hate it but I love it, as Tony says : )

Didn't do P90X today. I start Days 31-60 with Core Synergistics tomorrow. Today I just did treadmill for 30 min. I had planned to go snowshoeing or cross-country skiing, but it was too nasty out--cold, snowing, blowing, yuck!

Cardio X, week 4. I have lost 10 pounds so far. I'm not sure in inches, because my dog ate my tape measure. emoticon I am almost down a jean size though! I love my P90X!!!!!!

sigh. I had to make today the final rest day of block one. I was called in to work at an early-start time school and by the time I got home this afternoon, I didn't have the drive or the energy to do the Yoga session, which is 90 minutes and I *really* want to make it a good one when I do it. I'll do it tomorrow and still take my "30 Days" pics on Sunday, and start Block Two on Monday. It's still all good.

Di, the Skating was magnificent. I'm not much of an afficianado, my wife is, but even I was blown away by the excellence of the skating. Canada will be sending a very strong team to the Worlds this year, both men's and women's contingents.

On Wednesday I did Cardio X. Today, and for the next 4 or 5 days, no P90X : ( I'm away from home and can't really schedule workouts. I'm just considering it a little break in my program and will pick up right where I left off when I get back home next week.
