Margaret and I finally got back to walking today after two weeks of not doing it, we walked inside as it was pouring down rain. It sure felt good to be walking again.

Sorry to be posting this so late. I have no WiFi available at home until Friday morning and have been on the Hope Bus. Just got to the office so hopefully some of you will see this in time. (P.S. Posting Thursday's challenge now so that it will be available tomorrow, since I won't.)

For me, it's getting food back under control. With my move & work weeks that require 60+ hours, I've lost my mojo. Will buy healthy snacks this week to get on track. (Actually have fresh dates for the Hope Bus snack starting today.)

One thing I did today to help me be healthier.....I turned down all the goodies that someone had brought in to the staff room. In fact...I avoided the staff room all together! I also got my stair walking in.

Great Challenge Shirl... Perfect for me. lol

What one thing can you do today to help yourself become healthier?

Well I was going to take a WALK in the pool today...
But remembered that I have to keep these banages on for 48 hours from my Laser Surgery. UGH... Can't believe I forgot that. hehehe

So... I will do a little more walking/moving (less sitting) around the house and outside too...

It really hasn't been very good around here with Jennifer~ER on Sat for hrs~We had to bring her back from 4:30 pm Mon until 4 am when she was admitted to hosp~Can not control the excrusiating pain~Never saw a dr at all yesterday~So very complicated~Tom & I have been there around the clock waiting for some ans~We just feel so bad for Our DD~Not doing well this AM~Really bad time last night & her rm mate is very upsetting to her~Trying to get to be with her~Tom is doing a few things & will get me there~ He has a visit today~Love & Hugs &

Even though I'll be gone most of the day, maybe I can still get in a little exercise.

Well I did get some walking in while we were at the inside flea market, guess that's better than nothing.

What one thing can you do today to help yourself become healthier.

I'm attempting to insure that my cupboards hold only "from scratch" items. No boxed, quick fix items from the store. That means getting a head start on my natural, healthy preserving and canning of veggies and fruit today.

what one thing can you do today to help you become a healthier person:

Changed my attitude. I was feeling overwhelmed with all that is happening in our lives at the moment and with the chaos that is in my house with all the renos happening. Knowing that we had all this company arriving and feeling like I really didn't want to have to deal with it all, I knew I needed to decide to change how I was feeling by adjusting my attitude. I am the only one responsible for my actions and reactions and therefore I decide how I am going to be. If others don't like walking into the chaos of our lives at the moment...that is their problem. Our lives are what they are at this time and so be it. Feeling so much better. Great challenge, thanks.

Thought we'd change it up a little today. How about what one thing can you do today to help you become a healthier person:

Examples: drink water instead of pop or sweet drinks, subsitute a high calorie item for a lower calorie item, eat fish instead of red meat, don't eat fast food, park a little further away from the store, take stairs instead of elevator, these are just a few of the things we might do.

Small changes over time can make a big difference.

My one thing for today is to fix all our meals and stay away from fast food.

Have a great Wednesday One Thing day.
