Update for me. I had to put on my big girl socks and drive myself since Bryan had a meeting rescheduled to tonight from yesterday. I waited until the sun was shining so came in a bit late, doing work emails from home. Safely here and trying to not obsess about driving home in the dark.

Exercise, I am just having trouble getting moving again, a pedal broke on my stationary bike, Clenton tried to fix it and will try it today and see if it's ok, I could go to ALIVE for a nice walk but I don't want to get out in the cold, the car takes too long to warm up and I am whinning too much, I just want spring emoticon

For me, it is winter also. It's too cold to go out for a walk or to start the car for a short trip. The sidewalks are all icy and snowy and the danger of me slipping and doing some damage right now is high. I can't walk outside, so I'm walking inside as much as I can. Easier to do when I'm at work as there is more room to walk. When I'm at home I often just walk on the spot.

For me, it is definitely depression because of the gray skies, so many storms, so much sn*w & ice. Today I am going to focus on having my co-worker Bryan nearby who can (hopefully since it's too early to contact him) give me a ride to and from work today. I will also walk with cautious confidence on the sn*w & ice.

Great challenge:

Thinking about giving myself what for because I went over my calorie intake...changed my mind and allowed that sometimes it just happens. Tomorrow I WILL do better.

Thinking about getting all my water into me today....I DID IT!

Thinking about contacting someone that I haven't talked to in awhile. I DID IT!

Thinking about talking a trip around the building's hallway or back stairway every 2 hourss.

Is there something you are having trouble changing in your lifestyle? Maybe wanting to cut back on soda/tonic, those coffee drinks, coolattas, etc? Do you want to add veggies and cut back on sugars in your diet? Do you want to move more in your day? Is your challenge someone with whom you work?

THINK ABOUT IT today...

Thinking about replacing evening sweets with celery with PB.

Thinking about increasing water intake.

Thinking about increasing daily exercise.

1. You are going to eat something...is it healthy? I'm finding now that I've increased my exercise, I'm not as hungry as I used to be. Hmmm. was I eating out of boredom???

2. You are about to sit...did you exercise today? 9347steps in today

3. You are about to reply...is it respectful?I certainly try to be.

4. You are about to buy something...do you need it or want it? No shopping for me, I will go for groceries on the weekend and be mindful.

5. You are going to comment...is it kind?I try to be, even when I feel that the person needs a kick in the pants *grin*

ohhhh good challenge Mauri...also a good thing that I was doing very little talking today! My thoughts were focused on attempting to get a pile of work done before being away all next week. Let's see...I sent an email out to my selectors last week, letting them know I would be away next week. Suddenly my in box is overflowing with things that "just have to be ordered before you leave". I put in 8.5 hours straight at the computer and then said enough! It will be another long day tomorrow...but if I don't get as much done as possible..I know that I won't enjoy my time off. Sigggghhhh!

I'm tired now and off to get myself something to eat. Coconut tofu desert...only 90 calories seems like a great treat after my day today!

Good things to think about, thanks Mauri.

I have learned over time to accept constructive criticism better as it can help me grow as a person and make improvements to me, it never hurts to listen to other people.

I hope I stop and think before criticising others, but probably don't all the time.

Two challenges today:
1. If someone criticizes you, instead of reacting to it, think about it. What lesson can you learn from it? Is/was there a better way to do or say what you did?

2. If you are about to criticize someone, think about it before you say it. Is it realistic? Are your words kind? Are you teaching a lesson through what you will say?
