Wow got dh back from eye doctor has had cataracts taken off of both eyes in 3 weeks and he can drive without glasses ! He don't go back till Jan 3rd and i go back January 29th ! I have to dilate and put steroids in my eyes 3 times aday till then. I go to R.A. doctor tomarrow ! Pray they can do something to keep the arturituse out of my eyes !
The Lord is my strength and i know i can do better with the Lords help. The Lord laid it on my heart to start a team called GOD ANSWERS PRAYER AND I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE ANYBODY THAT WANTS HELP TO LOSE THEIR WEIGHT TO JOIN . I KNOW I CAN'T DO THIS WITHOUT THE LORDS HELP !

My goal WAS to get moving on my research project that's due on Friday. I had budgeted time after my eye appointment and before work to read my research and start my framework, but I forgot that the eye appointment usually involves dilating my pupils. Which pretty well killed my chances for working on it today. Tomorrow!

Looking back at the days that have passed by this month, I have to be honest and say I have not done as well as I'd hoped. Soooo, for the remainder of the month will concentrate on doing the right things. The most important thing right now is to focus on getting DH's blood sugar lowered and that means cooking more at home and staying away from the fast food, we were doing better for a while, but then slipped back into too many visits to the fast food places, I think DH's is realizing the true importance of this now and he says we will stop, but I've heard this before. We need to replace those visits with something else or just go for a cup of coffee and no food, it's sort of our get out of the apartment thing. It helps that the weather has been so nice and he's been able to walk more, the last two days his blood sugar has been lower than it has been a quite a while, so there is hope.

I was helped with hitting the bulls-eye because my co-worker didn't arrive until nearly noon. I did send positive thoughts to her and when she talked about how she spent her weekend working, the words in my head stayed there and I told her that her dedication pays off in the work she produces. Now THAT was a tough daily challenge!

It's time for target practice again! Draw yourself a round target with your goal for the day as your bullseye. How close did you come to your bullseye? Did you make it?
I was grumpy and out of sorts yesterday and of coarse, who did I take it out on, poor DH, so today I was determined to be more positive and not to be grumpy and so far I've been able to do that, now just need to maintain that attitude till bedtime, lol.
Mauri good luck with your target, people can really push our buttons sometimes.

My target is more spirit-related. One of my co-workers is a real challenge for me. Today my target is to be tolerant and kind...
When she speaks over me and ignores what I'm saying, I will send her positive thoughts. When she boasts about how many hours/how hard she works, I will commend her. I will turn my usual annoyance, rolled eyes, and exasperation into positive actions.

I managed to hit one bullseye yesterday. The other two arrows didn't hit the target at all, but I'm pleased with my one direct hit. MY DESK IS CLEAR! Finally! I've been picking at it for some time, and yesterday I finally hit that bullseye. Thanks for the challenge, Wanda. Today I'll work on getting a bullseye for those other two goals.

I just wrote on my first post, but then figured I would re-post so that you'd know that I came back.
I was tired. I have a slight headache. I was trying to give myself every excuse possible, but I strapped on my sneakers and took my 1/2 hour walk. I am glad that I kept my promise to myself. "Tastes" much better than those nasty old excuses.
Way to go Shirl!
Tina, I've been doing okay with cholesterol because have cut way back on animal fat. But my sodium is always a problem and I've been retaining water, so I've been watching it. If you find any new strategies to cut back the sodium, pass 'em along!

Mine would be to stay within all of my food ranges, sodium and cholesterol are my two hardest.
I stayed within range on the calories, carbs, etc., but unfortunately was over a little on both sodium and cholesterol. I'm too much of a carnivore... I rarely add salt to anything and I even wash my canned veggies to try to cut back. I'll keep working on it.
