Most of us have had a long winter - whether it's the cold, sn*w & ice or very dry atmosphere causing fires, etc. Let's take today to cheer ourselves up by...

...looking in the mirror today and saying to ourselves, "Well done, [your name]. Despite Mother Nature, you have managed to [your successes]."

Well done, Shirley. Despite Mother Nature, I've managed to stay positive and I am trying real hard to curb my eating and get back into exercise, did class 2 today.

Today we get to give ourselves pats on the back for things we have done well. Congratulate yourself for moving towards your goals. What makes you say, "Well done, me?"

I did the strength training video I had scheduled for Christmas Day, twice. I also stayed within my calories while allowing myself a small treat of three pieces of my favorite candy! emoticon

Instead of going to our family Christmas I went to urgent care and got the help I needed to get feeling better, still working on it, kept my germs at home, lol.

Looking forward to the New Year and feeling better, really missing my walks and time at the gym, but all in good time. Definitely plan on eating much healthier in 2013, especially foods with little or no preservatives.

Dec 26 Well-Done Wednesday!

Now that Christmas is behind us, looking back on these past few days, what one thing can you say that you did well? How can you make sure that you continue to do well?

I did not over eat and I made sure that I had plenty of healthy options to serve at meal times. I will continue to have quick and healthy snacks available in my fridge so that I can more easily resist the temptation to eat what is not so healthy. Once Christmas and New Years are past, I will once again concentrate on only allowing healthy alternatives into the house.

Hugs,
Wanda

Oct 10 Well-Done Wednesday

List three things that you have done well in the past week. Give yourself a hand for your accomplishments.

1. I have maintained a positive attitude.
2. I have worked hard at eating healthy.
3. I have provided a place of rest and peace for my hubby when he gets home from work.

Hugs.

The last time we did this one was back in May, so I think it's time we dust it off and do it again.

I see that we've not taken time to pat ourselves on the back with something we've done well. So celebrate WELL DONE WEDNESDAY by giving yourself credit for the things you do well.

Not letting the fact that I've been off track again not defeat me, deal with it and move on.

What have I done well?

One thing I have done very well is stick with my commitment to do the virtual walk. Everyday since the Jan 1st I have been faithful in recording my steps. For the first three months it was counting every step I took manually and then I got my Fitbit which takes over that task for me.

Have a great day,

Haven't been doing so well the last week with getting in exercise, so today will be going on a nice outside walk with my friend, we both need it and the temp is cooler today and no humidity, couldn't ask for a better day.

Well, I just want to say well-done to Wanda for getting us going this morning, I was trying to get around and ready for my appointment at 11 a.m. and didn't know if I'd get here before having to leave or not. Thank you teamie.

My well-done for the morning is getting up and getting ready for my eye appointment, I kind of didn't want to get out of bed this morning, but finally talked myself into it, lol, Just one of those mornings.

For this evening will be making a healthy boiled dinner.

So far this week staying within calorie range and getting in some exercise.

Well-done to be involved with such a great team.

1. I've arranged to go in to work later tomorrow morning so that I can visit with friends that are arriving this evening.

3. I remembered to call on my angels for their help yesterday as I visited the dentist.

4. I have some of the best team members anywhere. Thanks, Shirl, Marla, Polly, Lexie, Mauri and Nancy.

1. I saved up my points at the grocery store and instead of spending them willy nilly, I was able to get a Breville Juicer for free.

2. Eating more fruits.

3. Limiting the amount of wheat in my diet.

4. Working on living in the moment and letting go of things I can not change.

Thanks for the great challenge Shirl.

Today look at what you do...and give yourself a "well done" pat on the back for the positive actions you took!

1. I am doing better at staying away from fast food and cooking more of our meals.

2. Being more consistent with getting in some exercise.

3. Trying to get in the 8 glasses of water as often as I can.

4.Being mindful of people around me and what they might be going through.

Have a wonderful Wednesday and don't forget to pat yourself on the back.

Good Morning everyone... I know it's been a long time since I've been around. But when checking my email Mauri's post popped in there.
And after all that I have been through for the past 5 months I thought that this could change my thinking to a more positive one for today.

But if you think this should be deleted from this section let me know and I will.

LIST TEN THINGS THAT YOU HAVE DONE WELL IN THE PAST WEEK.

1.Continued caring for my brother-in-law, who has Pancreatic Cancer, even when he did not appreciate it or want it.
2.Tracked and gave him his medication when it was time.
3.Remembered all the things he enjoyed eating when I was shopping and tried to get him to eat them.
4.Helping him to get him on Social Security and Medicaid. What a challenge that is.
5.Kept his laundry clean so he always had a fresh change ready.
6.Helped with Hospice when they were called in.
7.Lost lots of sleep this past weekend due to BIL waking and trying to get out of bed. Result was him falling out of bed over and over.
8.Did the best I could to help keep him in bed.
9.Excepted the fact that I could no longer try to help pick him up because of my back.
10.Made the call for help on Monday for Hospice to come and take over 100%.

Michael Died this morning at 2:30 am.

I have no guilt... I have done the best I can for my husbands brother. And that is why I did it... Because he was my husbands brother and had no one else in his life.

May God rest his soul now and Thank you Lord for helping to get through this very trying time in my life.
