If I shoot for 1 lb/week I should at least get 1/2 lb, which is more reasonable for me.

New to this thread . . . had a serious car accident 2/12 with a broken neck and a broken back. Just starting to be able to exercise a little. Can't stand that I've gained 15 lbs. in the past year :(

Lost weight before, so I know I can do it again. Looking to SparkPeople for help!

gahh lost 2 lbs this week!!! yay for low salt intake, lots of protein (but not too much! that's bad for you), and lots of veggies and fruit.

Just take five minutes to regroup, and don't ever forget to make time for what makes you happy.

Finally back to 125.5. Let's keep the numbers on a decreasing streak!

I made it happen by not buying any peanut butter or oats this week - the last 2 things I needed to eliminate from my diet because I'm semi-intolerant of them!

Just take five minutes to regroup, and don't ever forget to make time for what makes you happy.

I would love to be in the 120s! I am in for 1lb a week. I know if I can stick to 1200 cal/day, it will happen. Already have the exercise at 1 hr daily, sometimes more.emoticon

124 pounds this morning. The scale hung at 123.8 at first, then jumped up. Since it has .2 increments the real number could be 123.9? Yes, I am grasping at straws.

I wish I could go away to a boot camp for 2 weeks. No outside influences, no business meals, no distractions at home. That would be great!

I knew this wasn't the best week to start since I had a 3-day corporate meeting, but that's an excuse. I did manage to lose weight on the road before, just have to stay off The See Food Diet.

No travel til August so I'm all out of excuses!

I'm going to work on one pound for this week. Maybe a small, reasonable amount will be achieveable. And I like the "catch the though when it first appears" approach. I'm going to try that.

Day 5 - I now eat slowly, with awareness and stop when I am satisfied.
Today the thought appeared that I wanted to nibble. I told myself no and did something else. It seems if I catch the thought when it first appears, it is not hard to say no.
Obviously, if I do not catch it, I end up nibbling.

I am also celebrating my bday next month. 4 1/2 weeks and 5-6lbs to go. I am going to yoga 3 days a week minimum and watching my food intake... This is my weakness... food. I really consider myself a foodie but I will really try! I want to look hot for my bday!

It would make my bday a good deal better if I could drop 5 lbs in the next 30 days! I turn "5-0" on 11-01-11 and would love to be a bit closer to my "destination"!

Today, 10-01-11, I weighed in at 157.6. (Goal weight is 150 on a 5'10" frame.)

I was 137#'s when I got married 22 yrs ago. Since then there have been 3 babies & number of definite body changes. -- I'm a "healthy" BMI now, but would like to get down to the target my MD set for me as a good weight to land at for the next 30 years!!

2 of my kids are back in school and my youngest starts preschool next week. I feel like I have been promoted as a mommy. I will finally get time to workout again. I have about 10 pounds to lose and one pound a week is my style. My starting weight is 140 and I would like to weigh 130. COUNT ME IN!

Hi,

I'd like to join this challenge!

Today I'm starting at 135; my goal is to lose at least one pound a week to reach 125.

(I think having the challenge/accountability to my stated goals will help me. Thanks for being here.)

One pound a week is doable. I'll join you in doing it!!

Okay, I'm game. My schedule over the next month--it's disrupted, with vacation and some work travel. My "true" goal is 145-43 by end-of-summer before it starts chilling down here in the Twin Cities, but I need to re-kickstart my effort after a week or two on a plateau. But I'll be honest about the weeks ahead:

6/12/11 - 150 (starting weight)
6/19/11 - 149 (better be good for getting on the airplane/vacation)
6/26/11 - 148 (yeah, let's see if I'm anywhere near a internet connection--or scale!)
7/3/11 - 147 (this one will be challenging--for the same reasons as last week!)
7/10/11 - 146 (homescale advantage--I'm shopping for lingerie if I make it)
7/17/11 - 145!!!! (I'm going to throw out all my old pants)

I AM STILL AT 130.5....I CAN NOT GET THESE LAST 6 OFF OF MY BODY!!!!!

I am trying to get the last 6 or so pounds....boy has it been hard! Not sure if my body will let me do a pound a week but I sure will try!!!

6/6/11- 130.5
6/13/11 - 129 (new workout shorts)
6/20/11 - 128 (new outfit for vacation)
6/27/11 - 127 (new sexy undies and bras)
7/4/11 - 126
7/11/11 - 125!!!!!!! (new bathing suit and sexy outfit, I will also be doing a dance for my hubby!!!
