This does not feel like a mini victory. It feels like a major victory. I am learning to deal with stress and that is thanks to the support from everyone here. Thanks to all.

Wow! Reading all these little victory's is very inspiring. I'm so proud of all of you!
My mini victory for yesterday was I was able to teach class without loosing my voice and wanting to pass out. The gym's microphone headset stopped working and I don't have a headset of my own, so I had to yell for all 14 people to hear me over the music while doing some body combat. All that can take alot out of you. Plus my husband and a couple of my friends were in my class, so that was cool.

I am at a hotel, traveling for a hockey tournament. I took time to go to the exercise room at the hotel and worked out. I also swam laps afterward. I might have swum before but never would have used the exercise room.

I had a victory today. I had a parent come into school today and talk with me about her child. The parent said she looked in the door and saw someone but didn't think it was me because the person was to thin. Imagine that. It blows me away.

I'm glad to hear that you didn't let yourself get discouraged even though you didn't lose. Not gaining is a great thing to. This is the same reason I stopped weighing myself. B/c if your exercising and you know your doing all the right things by drinking lots of water and eating right, but your still not seeing results. I'm sure you already know that muscle weight more than fat. So the best thing to do is measure yourself. I started tracking my measurements in a notebook. At the end of every month or every other month I have my husband tape me. The results are alot better sometimes.
You did the best thing of all though, no getting frusterated and just keep going. :)

My mini victory was, two weeks ago my husband measured me and I lost 1 inch in either of my arms and 1/2 an inch in my waist. YIPPY!!!

My mini victory today was wearing a pair of cute pants that I bought a couple of months ago; I bought them without trying them on and of course they didn't fit when I tried them on later at home.

My mini goal was not getting discouraged and giving up after getting on the scale and seeing I didn't lose any weight in the past 2 weeks...I didn't gain any either.

Thank you for your encouragement it is nice to here that there are other people out there who are in the same boat as me. My little accomplishment is that tonight instead of making excuses I put my daughter in here stroller and we went for a walk for 45 mins. She loved it and I could feel that it was working so this means that there are no more excuses! emoticon

SHRTY, I haven't lost yet either, so hang in there. This is about changing our lives not the scales (yeah, yeah, yeah, I KNOW, but we still want the scale to go down!).

My mini victory today was to be busy until 3:00 and still get on the elliptical. Usually if I don't do it first thing my "monkey mind" has jumped to all the excuses known to womankind! Did 15 minutes. Now need to do something else for 15 to get my first day challenge goal in!

Hello everyone I am so excited to see that everyone is doing so well. I wish that I could say that I have lost weight but I have not. I am drinking the right amount of water and which is great for me becasue I am not really a water person, and I am taking my own snacks to work which is awesome since I am a server at a resteraunt and rarely have time to eat yet alone something healthy. I need to be more motivated to exercise but I keep making the excuse that because my 2 year old is here and I cant go to the gym there is no way to exercise. I hope that I can get better at that.

WOW... there's a LOT of will power in this group! WAY TO GO EVERYONE!!! One of my small victories of the week has been holding back from "sharing" food with my kids! Normally I'd grab a handful or two of whatever they're snacking on during the day and those calories can add up!! I've been sticking to my meal plan and always have a few healthy snacks at my disposal so I can grab those instead! I have a few motivational signs hanging in my kitchen... one on the fridge, one on the pantry and one on the wall... they really help remind me to stay on track. When I get one of those "cravings" to eat a handful of cookies or fruit snacks... I see those signs.

Got to yoga class....as I drove up toward the community center and saw hundreds of cars I realized it was garage sale weekend, I would have to park and walk, no one would blame me, probably no one else was going, blah blah blah...we know ALL the excuses don't we? I parked, walked and went. It was great, and I feel good.

Oh and congrats on saying no to the cookie dough. Being fats sucks sometimes. I wonder how heroin addicts would feel if they had to see, touch, smell heroin everyday. I guess that just makes us even more awesome for having self control so there!

ok so another small victory for yours truly. I actually went to sleep before 1! Going to bed before 2 - 230 is an achievement on a regular night for me, but part of being healthy for me is getting sufficient sleep. So..yay me. Oh and another night of late night urges. That's is really hard for me....really really hard. Staying strong though...I can do this...I CAN change...

Awesome everyone! Especially getting rid of the cake, eating the carrots and limiting the late night snacking.

Thats one of my downfalls...eating after dinner.
And nights like tonight don't help. I didn't get home from work till 8 pm and haven't had dinner yet, no one cooked. I've only had 850 cals today nd I'm hungry and tired. Frozen cookie dough sounds really good.... must fight the urge and figure out something fast, easy and low cal.

keep up the good work everyone. Lots of small victories to come!

Today will be my 4th day in a row on the elliptical.
For a snack right now I grabbed a carrot, though I really wanted a piece of homemade bread.

Ok so this is silly, but a big deal for me I suppose. My mini victory is the food I DIDN'T eat last night. I don't sleep well so I usually don't sleep till about 2-3 in the morning. I also until very recently used to work nights and sometimes didn't get home till 10:30 or 11 so dinner for me was sometimes around midnight or even later. SOO bad for me. So when that time rolls around even if I've eaten dinner I get this overwhelming need to snack. There was this most amazing lemon cake from my mothers birthday. Homemade fudge and about a million terrible things at my disposal. I even got a fork and went to take just one bite of the cake, but then I put the fork down and popped some popcorn and had 2 cups of that instead. So, big victory in the jessie vs. late night cravings category! Yay for me! Oh and this morning I washed the cake down the drain. Take that evil fatty cake of doom!

My mini victory is that I woke up late this morning to go to the gym. Instead of going back to bed, I put in a workout DVD and sweated it out at home!

Hi everyone,
What is your mini victory for the week?

Mine is I have managed to work out for 4 days this week AND I have stuck to 1400 cal for 3 days this week AND I have lost 2.5 pounds!

I'm going to try and get up early for the next three days so I can get a workout in before work but don't know if it will happen as I'm not a morning person and I work 12 hour shifts for the next three days.

So come and share your victories!

Lady CJM
