Wow! were you the busy little worker! You had to have burned many, many calories with all that yard work. I do love days when I do accomplish so much. But we had the rain, and in fact today we were soooo lazy, watched our Sounders (soccer) drop out of the playoffs, sniff! Watched our poor Seahawks (American football) almost lose to a very sad team, goodness! But it was a fun lazy day.

Congrats on all that out door work. I do NEED to rake and clean up after all our wind and rain.

11/7: 2 hours of raking leaves (hard work!), 1608 calories, and 6 servings of F/V

11/8: 3 hours of yard and garden work (not sure how to count this as far as exercise, but I am quite sore so I know it was a good workout!), 1426 calories, and 5 veggies

I hope you had fun today at the game, Carole, and relished every one of those calories! Don't beat yourself up - its just one off day. I didnt get any formal workouts in this weekend, but have instead spent HOURS working in the yard, garden, and house. It was a gorgeous weekend here, so I wanted to take advantage of it. I got a lot of fall crops going, some garlic planted for the spring, a few beds weeded and mulched, cleaned out my shed, and raked the whole yard. I was very very productive!

It is good to be home, but it is WET! No outdoor pools being used here in November. Thanks for asking.

How's the new job coming? Still getting easier day to day?

I will be more than happy to join in, AFTER we get home from this trip. Sorry too many buffets! On a good note I'm getting plenty fruits and veggies (and everything else). Lots of exercise also.

Happy Halloween! You know what this means? Thanksgiving and the holiday season are just around the corner. And THAT means holiday parties, tempting treats, breaks in exercise routines, and potential weight gain.

What can you do to prevent this? Join the Trim It for Turkey Day Challenge!! Most people gain a few pounds between now and the end of the year. Who wants that to happen, after all your hard work so far??? Here are the details of the challenge:

This challenge will run from Nov. 1st till Nov. 26th (Thanksgiving day). This challenge is geared towards helping us stay on track with exercise, calories, and healthy food intake. Each day, we will report our exercise in minutes, whether you stayed in range for calorie intake, number of servings of fruit and veggies. So, an example would be:
10/30: 45 minutes running, 1435 calories, and 7 servings of fruit/veggies

I hope you join the challenge! The more support we all have, the more likely we are to reach our goals!
Sarah
