Thanks everyone! It's sad, really sad when a relationship ends but when his antics, games, lies and prowling about became the source of so much sadness & depression, it was time to go. Most seriously when he refused to see his actions as a problem, but in his words "a gift he couldn't control." No kidding! Sometime, I'll blog about all of it. Right now it's nice to look forward to, instead of dreading coming home. Planning a meal that can be all vegetarian if it so suits the mood, not having to listen to lies and half truths along with simply being quiet and peaceful.

What works for me?
Dumping my lying, cheating boyfriend, moving out of our house and creating a peaceful space of my own.

Mo, Isn't that amazing? I used to eat most of my meals in front of the TV and it was mindless eating. Now that we no longer do that at our house, we actually have conversations during meals.
Something else that works for me is to sit on my stability ball while I am on the computer. It works my core and makes better use of computer time.

My number one rule before everything else is don't eat in front of the TV. I never realized how closely the two were tied together for me. I'm not all that interested in eating junk unless I'm watching TV. And since I don't allow myself to eat eyes glued to the set anymore, I don't watch as much TV as I used to. There are certainly a lot of more productive ways I can spend my time!

Since walking isn't enough for me any more, I try to do walk 10,000 three days a week, run at least 4 miles two days a week, one long walk/run of 8 miles and rest one day a week. This is an increase of my schedule and maybe why I started losing weight again.

I am with you on that, Cynthia. One of the big helps for me is to always carry a full bottle with me when I get in the car. I am very likely to sip as I drive.

I am more inclined to drink a lot of water when I fill my bottle and carry it with me. I sometimes feel silly moving it from room to room or putting it on my desk, but it works and keeps me drinking my water.

1. Encouraging myself...I had to learn this early in the game 2. Not going by how I feel...if I did that I would never move

Exercising before work each morning works for me. Otherwise no matter how good my intentions are I won't do it after work.
