This month has been crazy busy. My fiance's surgery was moved to Aug. 19th because the hospitals here are overrun with flu patients and there are not enough beds available. The said the date can change if they are still at full capacity when his date comes around. The packing is going well. We also have been looking at getting a car I feel comfortable driving in, so we have been going to the car lots and checking some out. Then there has been appointments and consults. I am also going to be learning how to do lymph drain massage therapy to help him post-op. I haven't been binging, have only occasionally had junk- like an order of fries every so often. My biggest issues have been drinking lots of diet soda, fractured sleep and not drinking enough water. The soda thing is related to the stress and lack of sleep. I feel bad that I am not able to cheer you guys on like I used too. Hopefully his op & recovery will go well and the lab results will be good news.

SUCCESS345- I am glad you have been sticking to your meal planning. Fingers crossed your scale starts showing your efforts. I hope your fibro calms down. Flares ups can really hurt and ruin your plans for the day.

Earnie- I hope things are going well for you and your friends and family. Keep pushing, you can do it!

hope all is well with everyone... My menu planning has been good, activity has been good.. the scale dont want to play far so I might as well keep playing till I get it right.
I did have to take 2 days off as I have fibro and the pain was a little intense,, I hoppe to be out walking tomorrow... Stay Strong everyone...

Today 2 mile walk, 5 mile bike ride.. I had spaghetti for supper had alittle more then I planned on. But back on my meal plan the next meal. I hope to have a loss on Sat weigh in. I have worked hard this week. Camping with friends this weekend, will be a good time. Hope everyone is doing okay.. Thinking of you all!!!

I went on a 6 mile ride... It was easy on my back.... as you know I was not in a race or anything.... It was a nice ride...
Still keeping on my menu plan... keeping baby steps with it. If I plan to far ahead I fail at the menu planning...

I took a couple of days off from exercising as the back was hurting again. I have been doing good on planning my meals 3 days at a time.. And following through... I can plan but sometimes I take a detour.....

My 83 year old neighbor has been back ion the hospital with blood clots in her leg and is now back home. I have been busy but will try to find time this afternoon to check in more fully.

It has been a busy and hectic week here. I did my weigh in on Tuesday and was down a pound. I just didn't get the time to post until now. We still are waiting for a date for the surgery. If we don't hear anything by the middle of next week, we are supposed to contact the hospital. We are nervous. I just want him to pull through the surgery okay so we can focus on his recovery and deal with any results later.

Earnie- Book more massages or some spa treatments. I think your friends have good intentions and love you and as you said, having that as an issue is good problem to have. Just mention you need some time to yourself to slow down because you aren't a teen anymore. Maybe you can designate a day or part of day every week as your "Me time", where you can book your massage, grab coffee at a cafe, curl up with a good book or just work on a hobby by yourself might be good. Then just let you friends know when your "me time" is (Monday afternoons for example) and hopefully they will give it to you. I think it is wonderful you have friends you love being with you and care for you so thoroughly. You are blessed to have them. I hope you enjoyed your lunch.

SUCCESS345- emoticon on getting 3 miles in. Also congrats on your Fitbit for your phone. I am glad you like it. I hope things continue to go well for you. Keep staying active. You can do it!

MCMARTI26- There are some nice vit. D drops you can buy. I was vit. D, deficient a few years ago and put on the once a month pill for all of winter, then I switched to vitamin D drops. Just one drop a day does it. Now though I take a high quality fish oil that also has vitamins A & D, so I no longer need the drops. Not all fish oils have vitamin D, most cod oils though do. Also some calcium supplements include D. I hope you find a way that works for you. emoticon

I keep saying that I my invitations and my friends wanting to go somewhere, do something should slow down, but it is not happening. I need to deal with a nice and easy way to not be on the go all the time. lol Good problem to have.

Today, I have an appointment with my lawyer to re-do my will and then will meet friends for lunch. Will have a short late afternoon at home and will try to get a few things done. emoticon

Our little projects keep us busy & away from food!!! Okay maybe not but its suppose to help!!
I got my 3 miles in.. I got the fitbit for my phone. I love it, it pushes me to be successful every day!
Where is everyone? You are being missed!!! If its the scale... Throw it out the window. It's just a number. I go by how the clothes fit. We have the rest of our lives to get this done...

We are supposed to have rain and storms today. Hasn't started yet, but dark skies so may be soon. I have pilates this morning and hospital volunteer and signing checks for the community later in the day. Lots of little projects here at home.

Sounds like fun time, you never know what kind of deal you run into going from shop to shop.
Weigh in stayed the same. I'm okay with that. 1 lb so far this month. Biking & walking tomorrow.

I'm starting the morning off on a good step by having a frozen smoothie of frozen banana, frozen strawberries, oats, chia feeds, and almond milk. Ice cream for breakfast! Then heading out with a friend for a day of exploring a town we've never been to. No real plans, just toddling around.

EARNIE, you are so close to reaching your final goal... Awesome!!

SUCCESS345, you are referring to "Walk away to pounds", right? I became a fan this year. I use them very often and think they are just great.

AMBERBREEZE, good idea to go outside for your walks. I try to mix the indoor and outdoor because I ended up being vitamin D deficient last year. Now I am doing fine, but the doctor scare me a bit.

Good luck to all this week. I am avoiding the scale but keep trying to exercise and eat right. I'll report soon. I don't want this summer to end,

I was a bit disappointed to hop on the scale and see no change today. I think it may have to do with the bottle of Pepsi Max I drank on the weekend. Splenda tends to make me stall & crave sweets. Luckily I didn't have any strong cravings- other then for the soda, but I think it may have stalled me. It was a whole 1.5 liter bottle. I rarely drink soda anymore, just I was stressed and gave in. I think I need to be aware that if I drink it again, especially a whole 1.5 liter bottle as opposed to a glass or can, that I may not lose any weight that week, or find it harder to lose. I plan to go splenda and soda free this week, and keep the same routine I did last week and see what happens.

Anyways, good luck to all those weighing in this week.

MCMARTI26- Great to see you back again. I only lost 2 lbs last month too. But as you said, that is better to lose some weight than none at all.

Tomorrow I have my weigh in. I have been staying on track eating, I also have been doing great on my exercise. Today I even did a walk outside instead of on the treadmill. I can't believe July is already here. I am looking forward to the fireworks this Friday. It's the first time ever that my daughter wants to go. It seems I always drag her to the celebration. This is my info...

Join the 2% challenge by posting your Starting Weight and 2% of that figure.

Here is an example: If you now weigh 200 pounds and lose 2% of that this month, you will have lost 4 pounds by the end of the month.

Example
Starting weight - 200 lbs
2% - 4 lbs
Goal- 196 lbs
