Earnie- emoticon That is still a pound less then at the start. It is progress. Plus with you being so close to your goal weight, it can be tough to budge, but you shifted a stubborn pound. You can do this!

I lost 1 pound this month. The scale was lower and higher but ended at just one pound.

Not the best, but still okay with it.. I look at more on how my body & clothes feel...
The month of July I will keep tracking,planning my meals for 3 days at a time, walking and water should lead to a good month... I'm going to track how many miles I can get in a month.

Weigh in on Sat was -.5. It was a loss. So I will settle for it.
Yes, I love doing 5k, I always come home with a t shirt. It is a proud feeling to know
I completed it...... Once i did my 1st 5k I was addicted
Haircut & color for me tomorrow... Time to wash the gray away.

This team is the best. I love the support we give each other. Alot of people
Come & Go. We stay together, for that I thank each one of you...

SUCCESS345- Good luck on your weigh in today. You are so amazing with all your 5 kms. It is really inspiring, keep it up.

Earnie- I agree with Carolina M. play up with it, enjoy the easy maintenance that a shorter style can give you and have fun. Also, shorter hair is so nice in the summer. By the way, how are the pilates classes going?

Carolina M.- Thanks for the encouragement. I still glad you finally got a loss on the scale, but remember that the scale isn't everything, having a longer and healthier life is a better goal and with your efforts on good choices, you are heading the right way. You can do this!

My weigh in is on Tuesday. I admit to being a bit naughty and having some pizza today. One meal off track. No biggie. Next meal and rest of the weekend is on plan. I may throw in some extra walking or working out. I hope everyone has a great weekend. Stay focused.

emoticon ERNIE, You are brave!! I have tried to change my hair style several times and I can't get through with it. I think my problem is that I end up styling it the same way. Play with it, enjoy, feel "new" every time you see your image in the mirror.

I went for my regular monthly hair cut and my stylist said he was going to change things up. I gave him the go ahead and came home with short (really short) hair. I have to get use to this!!!

Success, Wow am I impressed. Six 5K’s under your belt. Go girl!

My overnight trip was fun, active and over all to quickly. This is going to be a busy week for me and I plan to concentrate on continuing to be active and drinking lots of water.

Finally, I can record some good news. I lost ONE pound. I am not using the scale often but I made some big changes last week and decided I wanted to confirm if it had work.

Starting weight - 190.4 lbs
Goal- 186.6 lbs
Current weight - 189.2

I hope everyone reports good news before the end of the month. I can believe June is almost gone.

Good to hear from everyone... I know busy life can get it.. I have been gone so I was not near my computer...
We did the 5K. It was a blast.. We have 12 of us in our group. When you got to the finish line, we turn around and brought the others in to cross the finish line together. It was our best year yet as we supported everyone... This was my 6th 5K.....
One time, they were cheering for a girl that was on the track team.. Her name was Amber so the kids were all screaming for Amber so I just focused and pretended my name was Amber... I sure found some extra strength that yr.. But I just walk the 5K now..... But I always run the last block as I come in.... They are so much fun. Its not a race, it just the proud moment when you go accross the finish line.. I like doing the ones that are a fund raiser for a someone.

I gained a little this last Sat so it will be planning my meals for 3 days at a time.. I need success for this Sat weigh in..

Greetings!! I thought it was a good time to check in. We have the weekend ahead of us to make good choices and take steps towards our goals.

I have not given up. I have been walking and keeping food intake in check. I think I had a good week. I bit stressed since my mom is coming to visit tomorrow for a couple of days... Now I will test if I over eat under stress. emoticon

SUCESS345, can you believe I have only tasted smores once in my lifetime? I was at my sister's in Maryland and it was a memorable occasion. I want to taste them again. I also want to walk a 5k, maybe by this fall. Now I know who to ask for advice.

AMBERBREEZE, good job. You did great if you consider your week. I hope your fiancι is recovering well.

I'm here. It just has been a busy week and the coming week looks to be the same. Distraction aside, I'm trying to stay on schedule with my new pilates class and being reasonable with food. I expect after next week, things will be calmer in my life.

Well my fiance had his 2 operations on Tues., that is also why I didn't post my weight. By the time I got home I was too tired to do much but crawl in bed. He is home recovering now. Very sore. Test results in 2 weeks. I hopefully I will blog tomorrow to catch my Spark Friends up on all that has been going on. The good news is hopefully the super busy time that has been plaguing us the past few months should be over and things should calm down and I can focus on losing my weight again.

SUCCESS345- Good luck on the 5k, I hope the weather is fine for you.

Carolina M.- I agree with others about having a full thyroid check up. But please keep up your healthy choices. They help improve health and longevity.

Earnie- How are your pilates classes going? Are you noticing any benefits from them?

I so agree girls on the weighing of ourseleves.. It is wrong ..... it gives us a mind set.. We are happy when we see a loss, and then we gain we are bummed out.. I decided a few weeks ago.. I will weigh in and not think about it... on the weigh at ww on the 7th I lost 1lb and weigh in on the14th I lost 2.5lbs so if I need to forget about the scale I will.. it worked the last 2 weeks... I agree how my clothes fit is important... Like my leader says people will say you have lost weight, it shows.. they will not say so the scale is not moving for ya..... haha

A friend of mine talked me into doing a 5K this last Sat morning... It was fun. She ran I walked..... This friday we are doing a 5K in memory of a gal who loved going for walk, she had breast cancer... This is our 3rd yr... there is 15 of us going, then we are going camping with wine and smores.... the weather is suppose to be nice.

Still loving my new car... I smile thinking of mom every time I take it for a ride...

Carolina, indeed, get your thyroid checked. However, I agree, losing the scale and going by other measures such as how your clothes are fitting and how you are feeling are good and so much less stressful measures.

Good evening to all!!

I decided I am not going to weigh myself anymore... emoticon

Instead of losing, according to my scale, I gained 4 lbs. which doesn't make sense if I accumulated 400 fitness mins. in one week. I think my scale is nuts!! I am trying to focus in the exercise, instead of the weight. My calorie intake has been within range. I think it's time to check things with he doctor. Maybe my thyroid is overacting again.

I have lost 1lb on this challenge. I weigh in on Sat.. I'm going to work hard this week. I hope to have another loss...
I have a 5K on the 20th at 7pm.. I can not wait.. then we are going camping afterwards... Just a girls night... smores and wine...

I am trying to get back into my routine. I have been working for the challenge but hadn't had time to post. So now, here it is,

Starting weight - 190.4 lbs
2% - 3.8 lbs
Goal- 186.6 lbs

This is for last weekend. Let's see what my weight is tomorrow. I don't want to round anything down or up because I want to reach this goal at least once.

Thank you, When I drove the camero, I think of mom. I have her pic on the dash, w a angel.
I can never repay him for such a beautiful gift. It's a classic car and a perfect paint job.

Today, was a very emotional day for me. We took care of our mom when she got cancer, in 2005 I wrote a book on our family journey. I always told mom I would buy a red Chevy Camaro in her memory. Today, my husband brought home my dream car 1992 red Chevy camero.
I had no idea. I so felt mom will me today as the sunshine. And the few drops of rain that went with my tear drops. It is a day I will never forget. I have the best husband.

Join the 2% challenge by posting your Starting Weight and 2% of that figure.

Here is an example: If you now weigh 200 pounds and lose 2% of that this month, you will have lost 4 pounds by the end of the month.

Example
Starting weight - 200 lbs
2% - 4 lbs
Goal- 196 lbs


Anyone is welcome to join at anytime until the month is over, then the new challenge will start. Weigh in days are users choice. So feel free to join up and start losing today.
