Thanks, Tricia. There were a few others who didn't send me results, but I'm ready to call January's results. Here they are:

Cynthia was the big winner for total minutes 2,973 and total calories 19,829

Donna was the winner for consistent minutes 6.1 STD and consistent calories 20.4 STD.

I know this is going to sound like a lame excuse and it probably is but I have not been tracking my fitness and calories burned for the past 2 weeks. I do apologize as should not have taken on this challenge when I am unable to track everything.

Being team leader of the Blue team seems to be the most I can candle at one time as my concentration level is very low during the deep of winter.
I feel very foolish and very sorry for accepting this challenge when I know it is hard for me to keep up during this time.

It is because of my winter depression known as SAD that puts me into this state of confusion and lack of concentration. I try so hard to fight it but it just doesn't work. Even the B12 shots don't help me with my mind.

I just wanted you all to know that I am sorry for looking like a slacker, I really am not.

Hope everyone is finding the challenge fun and keeping their self fit as a fiddle.

Wow, I'm shocked that I'm in the lead for something. I just wanted to get back into it.

I did some more Wii bowling yesterday and had my best score ever, a 248 that included 6 strikes in a row. I never did that before. I was so excited.

I also shoveled some snow. Now if that wasn't a sight. Picture me with one snow boot on, the other foot in a surgical boot, purse around my neck and a shovel in my hand. At least I did it.

Good work so far, everyone!

Cynthia is pulling away in the lead for both totals (1,560 min and 10,543 cal) but it is close in both consistency categories. Right now Donna is in the lead with STD of 4.99 min and 15.07 calories. But she may give that up if it means she can move more on her bum foot!

Thank you Cheryl.
I have a vision of where I want to be and it really includes health as well as body shape and weight. I am striving for 2 hours a day which includes my running. I finally, finally cleaned my kitchen and pantry of anything processed. Believe me, that was a big accomplishment for me. I really have a better attitude this year than I did even when I first started Spark. A lot of it has to do with the support that I have gotten from my Spark friends, like you.

I forgot to log my exercise minutes and then I screwed up with thte strength training calories burned....I'm sorry.

I did get 145 minutes of fitness but don't have an accurate calorie count. I can be such a muddlehead at times. Not counting the strength training the calories burned were only 706cals

I don't know when I will be able to get online tomorrow, so i wanted to post my numbers! I managed to get in 664 minutes and 2998 calories.

My LCW Saturday totals are 109 minutes and 553 calories.

It's not too late if anyone else wants to join. Just keep track and log your exercise in your fitness plan this week and report the totals on Sunday.

I'm glad you're reporting some of your exercises this week, but I only need the totals at the end of the week. You can log them in your fitness plan tracker during the week and get a report at the end of the week. Strength training absolutely counts! You just need to include it in the cardio section in order for it to calculate in your totals. If you're not sure how may calories to count, check the link in my signature. It can calculate many other activities and the amount of calories you burn.

Let me know if you need any help with the fitness tracker. Good luck and keep moving!!

Here we are starting a new year and making new year's resolutions. Is one of yours to exercise more? Then this challenge may just be able to help you keep your resolution.

This challenge is a great way to hold yourself accountable and try to get as much exercise in as possible. You'll be amazed and proud of yourself to see all those exercise minutes and calories burned at the end of each week. They can add up fast!

So here's the deal:
1. This is a challenge for individuals - not teams.
2. You'll log your exercise in your fitness tracker daily so you can get the calories burned. We'll post our total exercise minutes and calories burned for the week each Sunday during the month, with the last week being posted the last day of the month.
3. I'll post current standings on Tuesday evenings, so you need to post your weekly results before then. If you miss a deadline, you can still get me the results, just try to get them to me before the next Sunday so I don't confuse which week I'm working with. (I'll post reminders on Fridays to get your last chance workouts in by Saturday night.)
4. There are NO losers in this challenge, I’ll be sending goodies to ALL participants at the end of the month who send results to me each week during the month. But I do ask that as a participant you send sparkgoodies to the top individuals at the end of the month, too.
5. Minutes and calories for strength training can be included in your totals, but you need to add those in the cardio section of your tracker for it to calculate them. (If you're not sure how many calories to count, there is a great link below in my signature section to help you.)

There will be 4 Top Individuals recognized:
- Most minutes exercised
- Most calories burned
- Most consistent minutes exercised
- Most consistent calories burned (Consistency will be calculated by the standard deviation between the weekly results.)

Also:
- ALL participants who finish the month and post results each week will also be rewarded. How’s that for motivation?

That's it in a nutshell! Anyone interested? Sign up before the first result date which is Sunday, January 8th. Be sure to keep track of your counts during the first week of the month and post your results on that date, too. Now get moving!!!
