You know, I knew the end of the month was coming up and still I forgot all about getting an October challenge put together.
You ladies have stuck though the longest. I say as long as there is interest I'll keep track of the totals. I know that if it wasn't for this challenge, I wouldn't be reminding myself to exercise. It is just a little more incentive to keep going.
So I'd like to keep encouraging you as well. I'm going to post the monthly results on Friday for all of us and I'm sending you all winner goodies because even though you're out the last few days, Cheryl, you're still a winner in my book!
Donna, are you in for October, too?

It has been hard to motivate myself to exercise with this nasty cold I've got. I did go to Zumba yesterday and I'm determined to get a regular routine in tonight when I get home.
Hope everyone else is doing great. We're heading into the homestretch of September so now is the time to ramp up your minutes and calories. Keep moving!

Thanks for posting, ladies! None of us are doing well with the consistency numbers yet, but Donna is still in the lead with total minutes (1905) and calories (5201)
Don't lose heart, though. Keep up the good work! ANY workout is better than no workout, so keep counting even the most obscure ways you burn those calories!

I don’t know about you, but I know the majority of the time I need a good kick in the pants to make sure I get my daily workouts in. I hate to exercise, but it is easier to motivate yourself if you have some incentive.
That is what this challenge is all about. It is a great way to hold yourself accountable and try to get as much exercise in as possible. You'd be amazed and proud of yourself to see all those exercise minutes and calories burned at the end of each week. They can add up fast!
So here's the deal: 1. This is a challenge for individuals - not teams. 2. You'll log your exercise in your fitness tracker daily so you can get the calories burned. We'll post our total exercise minutes and calories burned for the week each Sunday in September, with the last week being posted on Friday, October 1st. 3. I'll post current standings on Tuesday evenings, so you need to post your weekly results before then. If you miss a deadline, you can still get me the results, just try to get them to me before the next Sunday so I don't confuse which week I'm working with. (I'll post reminders on Fridays to get your last chance workouts in by Saturday night.) 4. There are NO losers in this challenge, I’ll be sending goodies to ALL participants at the end of the month who send results to me each week during the month. But I do ask that as a participant you send kudos to the individual winners at the end of the month, too. 5. Minutes and calories for strength training can be included in your totals, but you need to add those in the cardio section of your tracker for it to calculate them. (If you're not sure how many calories to count, there is a great link below in my signature section to help you.)
There will be 4 individual winners: - Most minutes exercised - Most calories burned - Most consistent minutes exercised - Most consistent calories burned (Consistency will be calculated by the standard deviation between the weekly results.)
Also: - ALL participants who finish the month and post results each week will also be rewarded. How’s that for motivation?
