Thank you ladies for the tip on the fiber. I will start tracking the fiber today. We will see how I do with fiber. I have been picking cereal with higher fiber and will see how my other food choices add up.

Gotta Agree, I am always over on my carbs and under mostly on my fats and little on protien too because my personal approach is to go after the fibre, I kinda wish there was some way to separate the good carbs from the refined carbs people are trying to avoid. My diet plan I devised twenty some years ago is the 30 30 plan. I aim for under 30 grams of fat and over 30 grams of fibre. Many many days my fibre runs 45 to 55 grams....and it is all good!! Now unless you are eating pure sugar it is hard to go way over in calories with the fat so low and the fibre well up there.

I pay particular attention to calories, protein and fiber. Fiber is of real interest in our household these days. Hubby just had his colonoscopy and was told to get more fiber every day (guys - 30-35 grams of fiber). Because I'm trying to be a good example, we've been rocking on the fiber, usually getting in our minimum grams by noon! Fiber and protein have been critical to my weight loss success. If doc ever tells me to cut down on sodium, I'll be in trouble though!

I also track my sodium (along with MANY other nutrients) and WOW, talk about a wake up call - sodium is HARD to keep below the max. We're making a totally new lifestyle change as we now no longer buy many items just due to the sodium content (no more canned veggies for ex, only fresh from now on)
Fiber is another one thats hard - Had to go and buy high fiber cereals and now I am in my range!

I do log my food in the food tracker and my exercise in the fitness tracker. I have added sodium as one of my nutrients i'm tracking and have had problems keeping below the 2300.

Well, didn't do the whole day, but about half of the day. Unless I preplan my meals and populate it online beforehand, the day usually gets away with me, what with running to the kids to karate, errands, making dinner, getting them to bed, etc. Logging my food online? Not so much.
No excuses not to log them in a notebook though!

Easy for me, since I do that already - every day I LITERALLY log everything, including the amount of butter on my bread... I weigh every single bite that goes in my mouth and write it down and log as soon as I get to the pc. Same goes for exercise, I log it all in too.

A women is often measured by the things she cannot control. She is measured by the way her body curves or doesn't curve, by where she is flat or straight or round. She is measured by 36-24-36 and inches and ages and numbers, by all the outside things that don't ever add up to who she is on the inside. And so if a women is to be measured, let her be measured by the things she can control; by who she is and who she is trying to become. Because as every women knows, measurement

I'm all over it. This is one of the things I do religiously because if I let even one day or one meal go I fall off the wagon. I always track every single bite and I always keep my calories at the low end of my range. Now...if only I could make myself be as disciplined with the workout part....hehe

Guess I should log my calcium chew, then: it's 20 calories! I do know that when I keep strict tabs on what I eat, via the My Nutrition feature, that I am amazed at how quickly it adds up. I know I will do better if I am faithfully tracking, so I will accept your challenge and start today!
