Life is so busy, fast food is sometimes just the only option, it seems. I am getting out of that mindset, but it is hard to get dh and the teenagers out of it!
We have 5 kids, ages 8-18. I am entering my second year of teaching special ed middle school, am working on my masters degree, and we have managed 5-6 soccer teams year round until this fall. This fall, we have 2 soccer teams, gymnastics one night a week, and maybe one running cross country. DH is in management for a fast food chain, which really doesn't help! lol
I have worked hard to lose weight and eat healthier, and am working on dh and the kids. Some nights, dh puts his foot down and says he just doesn't want to eat at home, or that I need a night off! I do the best I can, make healthy choices, and have been known to bring a salad with me into Mcdonald's or sit there while they eat, then steam some fish and veggies when we get home!
I have had it down to about once a week this month, not sure what will happen when we go back to school though (I went back last Wednesday, the kids go back Aug 25)
We can do this!!
