Great challenge! I'll be interested to see the results. I suspect people w/ small kids might score higher? We eat all together every night unless DH is out of town or 1 of the kids (5,9) is on a playdate. So I won't enter (seems unfair since it's not really a challenge for us), but I look forward to others' comments and urge everyone to take the challenge!
Would like to offer a small challenge to the team! According to this book and other sources including some from Sparkpeople itself eating as a family reduces the risk of obesity, improves school performance, reduces risk of teenage drinking and alcohol abuse and creates family bonding. If interested keep track of how many times per week you and your family eat together for 1 month then reply to this thread at the end of that time period. Got a book called Super Sized Kids -How to rescue your child from the Obesity Threat written by Walt Larimore, MD and Sherri Flynt, MPH, RD, LD Very interesting discusses ways a child could or has become overweight, many ideas to change these things and get our children to have healthy habits so they become health adults. Thought you'd all be interested in this.
